The Heil Laser Riflegun Laser System boasted an output of up to 350mW, making it one of the most powerful on the market at its time. In 1997, another new type of gun laser was developed by Drs Charles Ferguson and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin from Southern Illinois University Carbondale (SIUCC). This device became known as the Aldrin Gun Laser System, and it offered much improved performance over earlier models. Its output ranged from 350mW up to 2kW, making it one of the most powerful options on the market today! The first guns that could fire projectiles at distances up to 250 yards were created in 1847 by George Stephenson and James Buchanan Long. These guns were called “drillguns” because they fired a drill bit out of the barrel which was used to hit targets at a distance of 100 yards. By 1850, some other firearms had been developed that could fire projectiles up to 350 yards. This technology is known as “long-range artillery” and it was first used in war in 1861 by American forces against Confederate forces.

In 1907, US President Theodore Roosevelt created Guthrie County which included most of present day Tulsa County; during his time Guthrie was also known for its production of oil shale (a type of coal). The county seat was moved from Jenks to McAlester in 1912 after McAlester became an important center for oil production due to its location on Anadarko Field (now Bakken Formation), one of several major oil fields developed during World War I. During the Mexican-American War, the United States gained control of Oklahoma and established a military presence in the area.
