In 1919, she passed an ordinance allowing residents over the age of 21 years old to possess handguns without having criminal records or being prohibited from owning any other type of firearms within city limits. "After prohibition repealed," Mayor Patsy Green said "I sawed off my shotgun so I could carry it around." She continued "It’s just such an easy way for citizens control their own government." By 1922, all pistol permits were issued on an individual basis instead of through cities councils like before which required prior approval from state legislators due to fear that too much power would be granted too easily to those not able or willingto exercise it responsibly

Mustang is a city in Stephens County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 9,811 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Stephens County and home to the Stephens Air Force Base. The town of Mustang was founded in 1907 by J.B. "Red" Hinton as a small community on the banks of the Arkansas River east of Tulsa. By 1912, it had developed into a village with a post office, four churches, and sixteen homes. In 1915, when Tulsa City limits were set off from Stephens County due to its growth within the city limits (due to irrigation projects), Mustang became an unincorporated community within Tulsa City limits and had its own Post Office until 1917 when it merged into that entity. In 1928, Ford Motor Company bought 80 acres along US-412 in central Stephens County for $10 per acre ($ in current dollars). The company built a plant on this land which became known as "Fordland". The plant produced Ford cars and trucks until it closed in 1979 after producing more than 1 million vehicles. Today only remains from some of these products including the fastback Bronco and Cougar models which are on display at the nearby Ford World Headquarters complex located adjacent to I-4 Exit 341 across from Walmart Supercenter across from KFC chicken restaurant which used to be called "Strawberry Hill". On November 5th 1951 during construction of Interstate 40 between Tulsa and Wichita Falls local residents raised money by selling candy canes for $1 each through door-to-door distribution throughout their neighborhoods with proceeds going towards highway construction costs. On December 15th 1951 President Harry S Truman dedicated I-40 near Montero Springs as part of his presidential tour through Oklahoma stateslining campaign stops before entering Kansas at Topeka Municipal Airport where he delivered remarks before departure back home to Washington D C
