Mustang is a small town in Noble County, Oklahoma. It is located on the United States-Mexico Border and has been known as a crossing point for smugglers and smugglers' traffic. The population was 582 at the 2010 census. The town was founded by prospectors in 1907, when they traveled from Waco, Texas to find oil reserves near the current border. They named their new settlement after Mustang Ranch, in nearby Haskell County. The post office opened in 1911, and the first store was built in 1912. In 1969, local high school students were among those who participated in a project called "Rocky Top" which aimed to showcase innovative music production techniques being used at other schools across America during that year's Lollapalooza Festival event at Unitarian Universalist church on University Avenue east of downtown Mustang (now part of Oklahoma State University). That same year also saw the opening of Mustang Music Hall which became home to local talent including Donnie Darko drummer Mickey Whitehead and future Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett III amongst others; meantime, Main Street had become a pedestrian mall with restaurants including Texaco Star station (now known as Quiznos), Ford dealership and branch bank along with three stores serving general merchandise such as jeans & T-shirts etc., one gas station/convenience store and one feed store which closed circa 1980s due to competition from discount outlets like Walmart next door combined with increased traffic caused by highway construction projects elsewhere on Highway 66 between Claremore & Tulsa; however some shops still remain today such as Midas Carpet Store - formerly Woolworths - now HasbroToyStore & KFC - now Arby's Mustang's rich history began long before any U S.-Mexico Border crossings happened here! For centuries this area had been inhabited by various Native American tribes who traded goods with Mexican traders based out of what would eventually be named Ciudad Juárez or Mexico City – quite literally right off our state’s borders! As you can probably guess given how maps were drawn at that time – + lots more square miles = MORE LAND FOR RANCHOS!!! But hold onto your hats folks because things didn’t just stop there ya know 😉 What followed were some pretty wild days ahead for farmers here all acrossSanta Fe County since Ketchum+his team started buying up large tracts of land parcels left undiscovered since Spanish exploration ended nearly 50 years earlier!!!!
