In 1907 he built a two-story log cabin near present day Brady Street which became his ranch house until it burned down in 1951. In 1911 Cargill founded Jardine Proctor & Co., one of the largest retail companies in America at that time. A year later he donated land to build an industrial park northwest of Muskogee which remains today's Cargill Park Golf Course southwest of town center. This was also where American Airlines began operations as Tulsa's only commercial airline on April 15th 1945 when Tulsa Airways Corporation was organized by Burt Laughlin and Curtis LeMay from San Francisco International Airport with World War II veteran Glenn Miller as its first president/ CEO In 1954 Cargill sold Jardine Proctor & Co.'s retail arm to Pillsbury Brands Incorporated for $2 billion making it one of America's largest food retailers . Mr .Curtis LeMay served as President and CEO until his death on November 20th 1996 after 25 years with the company

Muskogee is a small town in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,878 at the 2000 census. The town site was first settled by the Osage people in 1827. They named their town after the Miami River which they thought flowed through it. The first post office was established in 1836 and the first store opened in 1840. In 1851, a school was built and in 1861, a courthouse was built. The town became an agricultural center during the late 19th century and developed into a manufacturing center after World War II when many manufacturing businesses were organized here. After federal government support for local industries ended during the Great Depression, economic decline accelerated and Muskogee lost its status as an important regional cultural center until recent times. The Muskogee Moccasin Museum is located within Muskogee Municipal Airport near downtown Muskogee. It contains more than 100 moccasins from around the world and is open daily except on Mondays when it's closed for lunch due to renovations being done at that time at the airport across from municipal building
The Muskogee Nation was an American Indian nation located in present-day Oklahoma. The Muskogee Nation formed in 1819 after the cession of what is now Arkansas and Oklahoma by the United States to the United Kingdom as part of the Treaty of Paris following the Mexican–American War. It was one of several Native American nations that received land grants from U.S. President James K. Polk during his presidency in 1881, in order to open up more territory for white settlement. After a series of wars with Mexico and Texas, which resulted in over 1,500 dead and thousands more wounded, the Muskogee Nation signed a peace treaty with Mexico on February 17, 1868. This treaty recognized annexation of all but a few small villages within its borders by Mexico City and allowed for continued trade between the two countries without restriction or tariffs. The treaty also provided for individual allotment to each member based on their population at least 160 acres (0.6 km2). The Muskogee Nation’s remaining territories were divided among several other Native American nations after the Civil War; including Creek Nation, Kiowa Tribe, Apache Tribe and Navajo Valley Tribe.
