As an independent city, Moore experienced rapid economic growth beginning in the 1970s during which time it achieved high rankings by criteria such as job creation, community spirit, and poverty reduction. However, this prosperity came to an end after 9/11 when terrorist attacks destroyed many landmarks within miles of downtown Tulsa including Moore's tallest building—the "Thunderbird"—and made life difficult for residents who had to commute into work or leave their homes for fear of terrorism-related damage or destruction. Moore is considered one of America's most important figures in its history. Moore was born on February 12, 1847, in what is now the town of Moore, Oklahoma. His parents were John Wesley and Eliza Jane (née McCloskey)Moore. He attended public schools until his enrollment at Phillips Academy where he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He graduated from Harvard College with a degree in economics in 1875. From this point on, he devoted himself entirely to politics and decided to run for office rather than continue studying economics. He won election as an incumbent congressman and was sworn into office on January 3, 1907. However, due to World War I raging at home at that time, he did not take office until November 15th following his re-election victory two months earlier by simple majority over Archibald Cox Jr., who had been running unopposed for office since 1906 Upon taking office, John Wescott Moore quickly began working on behalf of constituents within his district while also making important decisions that would shape American political life during the first few years of his presidency including appointing Jesse James Knox as Attorney General after legal challenges forced him out of the government because he refused to support prohibitionism; creating the Federal Reserve System; increasing military spending; expanding education opportunities through legislation such as The Gilded Age Elementary School Act which mandated more affordable educational materials be given away free Toreador books beginning at grade level; providing financial assistance for farmers during farm Depression times; and passing landmark laws like The National Industrial Recovery Act which created numerous small businesses throughout America This last item is significant because it helped create an era referred to today as "The New Deal" during which many Americans experienced dramatic economic growth thanks largely to government interventionism In other words: John Wescott Moore wasn't just another politician – he was part of something larger and more important than just individual politicians .
