The city also got its first municipal water system when it connected to McAlester Municipal Water Supply Corporation (MUSKC) on May 1, 1948 Moore has experienced many changes throughout its history including growth from small farming village into an urban center during the 20th century with accompanying growth in industry that produced jobs for locals and exported products across state lines
