Lawton, Oklahoma was an unincorporated community in eastern Noble County, Oklahoma, United States. It was located on the Union Pacific Railroad and its depot was near present-day Lawton. The community developed around a small post office, which opened in 1892. A school and general store were also established in the early years. By 1912, only a few residents remained in Lawton; most of the town had been abandoned by that time. In 1930, Lawton was incorporated as a city.
