In the early 1800s, Oklahoma was a frontier territory rich in oil and gas reserves. The area's natural resources made it an ideal place to develop new optical technologies, and so Guymon emerged as one of the most important optical towns in America. Guymon was founded by three men who were interested in developing new optical technology: James W. Dixon, Hiram Bingham, and John Sutter. They set up a business called the American Optometric Company in 1854 to sell glass-strewn lenses and other optical equipment. The company became very successful, and its products soon became known throughout the United States. The town continued to grow during the late 1800s and into the 20th century, thanks to its many technological innovations. In 1925, Guymon joined forces with Wichita Falls, Texas, to form the Wichita Falls Optical Cooperative Association (WFOCA). This organization helped foster cross-border cooperation among optical manufacturers and traders. WFOCA also played an important role in developing new optics research programs at universities around America. By 1937, however, World War II had interrupted these efforts; by 1945 WFOCA had disbanded altogether. But even after WFOCA's disbanding, Guymon continued to make significant contributions tooptical technology. In 1951–1952, for example, it developed a new type of lens called a catadioptric lens which allowed users To view images using two different views simultaneously - an innovation that would eventually be used in televisions and other digital devices! Additionally, on several occasions during the 1950s and 1960s Guymon produced world-renowned scientists who worked on advanced optoelectronics projects - such as physicist Arthur Czerny or chemist Jack Kilgore – making them some of America's most highly respected engineers.[1]

Guymon, Oklahoma is a town in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,853 at the 2010 census. The Guymon community was founded in 1907 by settlers from Illinois who named it for General James Ewing Guymon. It was incorporated as a village in 1911. As of the 2000 census, the population had decreased to 898 people. The main economic activity of the town is agriculture and ranching. The first post office in Guymon was established on November 20, 1907. A school was built in 1908 and became known as "Guymon Academy." In 1912, the village became an incorporated municipality with a mayor and seven trustees. In 1916, the name of the town changed to "Guymon" after General James Ewing Guymon who served as United States Ambassador to Mexico City during World War I. The first store opened in 1918 and remained open until 1971 when it burned down due to a fire that destroyed most of downtown Jerusalem. In 2001, new development began near downtown called "The Village". This project included 3 shopping malls (One OK Plaza mall; One million square feet), 2 restaurants/bars/cafés (Bulldog's Den; Sonic Taco Bell), 4 hotels (Four Seasons Resort Tulsa; Sheraton Tulsa Airport); 1 job center (Shark Tank Inn); and over 25 acres of commercialized open space including an amusement park (Don Q's Playland). On November 6th of that year residents voted by referendum to leave their incorporation into Muskogee County effective January 1st following years of petitioning from local officials and citizens alike seeking secession from what they saw as an unelected government nottskyly headquartered within their borders without their consent or input

In this paper, we will cover some of the earliest optical accessories and their history. The first optical accessory was an eyepiece used with a telescope in order to view celestial objects. This eyepiece Columbus had himself made using materials scavenged from his shipwrecked voyage in 1492. Although originally designed as a viewing aid only, Telescopes began becoming more popular in the 16th century as they became better able to capture both natural beauty and man-made objects like stars (Fowler). By the 17th century, telescopic equipment such as telescopes had become so advanced that one could see far out into space than ever before (Dormer). One common type of optic used throughout history has been a lens. A lens is simply a piece of glass or plastic that is focused on an object at one end and allows light from that object to pass through the other end unscathed (Goudreau). The first lenses were made from two parts: an objective lens which helped focus light onto an image on a screen or retina; and a iris which controlled how much light passed through the lens (Brewster). Over time, lenses became bigger, more complex, and better designed in order to allow for greater magnification (Lenzburg et al.). Additionally, lenses were often coated with various substances allowing them to be enchanted with magical effects such as reflecting images off walls or giving people close up views of planets without needing magnification (Brewster). In contrast to traditional mirrors where all light passes through evenly regardless of its intensity/directionality - glasses have multiple tiny round barbs called cantilevers on top which reflect certain wavelengths while blocking others) Augmented reality headsets typically use orange fiber optic cables rather than white because visible colors are mostly blocked by fiber optic cable's metal coating) .

Guymon is a small town in McIntosh County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 2,859 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area. The first man to live in Guymon was John Clements in 1881. He started a log cabin and named it "Clement". A post office called "Guymon" was established in 1886, and remained in operation until 1907. In 1901, the town was platted and became an incorporated municipality under the name of "McIntosh". In 1907, the community had a population of 1,500 people and its first school opened for grades one through twelve. The current school building was built in 1951. The town's economy depended on agriculture until World War II when oil replaced agriculture as the mainstay of its economy. After World War II, industry began to take hold with businesses like Shell Oil Company beginning operations here from 1946 to 1957. However, this period also saw some construction projects such as the Guymon-Fayetteville Road Bridge which opened in 1959; however these projects were all ultimately unsuccessful due to low demand for products coming out of Guymon during this time period. The post-war years brought about some growth for Guymon with companies opening up here such as Western General Hospital who began services here in 1948 and later became Northwest Health Systems; while other smaller companies followed such as Midwestern Airlines who made their debut service from here on July 1st 1958 This growth led to more houses being built throughouttown while businesses slowly closed or moved out over time due to competition or changed consumer trends withintown itself . Even today there are few major industries that have not relocated away from Guymon but it still remains home to many small businesses that contribute significantly to its local economy
