Guthrie is a small city in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, United States. Guthrie is the seat of county government and home to the Guthrie-based Tulsa Air National Guard Base. The population was 59,362 at the 2010 census. As of 2016, Guthrie had the third largest gun industry in the United States after Atlanta and Kansas City. The first guns in Guthrie were pistols made by early settlers. In 1868 an ordinance was passed which prohibited handguns without a license from being possessed within city limits. A year later, a rifle factory was established by J C Hargrave and Sons near downtown and began producing rifles for sale to law enforcement agencies throughout southeastern Oklahoma Territory. In 1915 an ordinance was passed regulating firearms in town limits; this ordinance did not apply to pistols or rifles produced outside of town limits. A year later the first handgun magazine opened up shop in Guthrie when Wm Fenton opened The Gunsmiths on Main Street. At that time it was one of the few gun shops open to public on a regional basis across all of Western Oklahoma Territory (later Arkansas). Gun magazines became popularized during World War I as soldiers needed ammunition quickly and could not carry around entire packs of rounds with them everywhere they went (this limitation eventually expired). Officers would assemble their packs into squads or sections so they could take care of their ammo needs while on patrol or fighting off enemy troops patrols etc...Most officers who served during World War I carried multiple magazines with them as these were necessary for quick succession when opening up fire since there were no reliable reloading facilities available at that time apart from using cannons which required special Reloading Instructions sheets given to you ahead of time! By 1923 most states had banned open carrying of handguns except under specific circumstances such as hunting with shotguns where it was allowed subject to state permits only! This ban on handguns led to many young men getting their hands onguns who then proceeded to start shooting up local businesses before anyone could stop them! This period known as "The Gun Show Era" ended about 1926 when Sig Sauer introduced their new model semi-automatic pistols which became popular among police departments all over America due its easy firing operation & accuracy

In 1896, when McKinley was elected president, he designated Guthrie as one of twelve townships on his presidential travel schedule and gave it city status. During World War II, the air force station played an important role in providing support for Allied forces fighting against Nazi Germany. The base housed more than 2,000 personnel during both wars and produced many weapons systems used by NATO allies such as airplanes and missiles. After the war ended, most of the personnel were transferred out of the station but some stayed on until their retirement or departure from service due to various reasons including health problems caused by Aviation exposure or combat fatigue related illnesses such as leukemia or lymphoma). The air force station closed down its functions on September 30th, 1991 following a decision by then-President George H Bush not to renew its lease after five decades at Buckman Field Airport near Wichita Falls Texas because Tulsa had offered more money for that site which they thought would be better served by Tulsa's new airport project which was under construction (Tulsa would later annex much of downtown Gillette during this time). At that point all operational USAF activities ceased with no memory left behind of how Buchanan Field functioned while airstrips across America slowly transitioned into non-military use with little notice given until recently! As far as I know there are no plans currently underway anywhere else within our borders anywhere close enough geographically speaking so I think it's safe say that Buchanan Field will come back online at some point either soon or very soon indeed... Although we can't see it happening anytime soon!
