Enid, Oklahoma is a small town in far north-central Oklahoma. The population was 7,471 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Haskell County. The town was founded in 1881 and named for Enid, a settlement in New Mexico. For many years, it was the only populated place within Haskell County. In 1907, Enid became the county seat when Haskell County was created from parts of Muskogee and Logan Counties. The current courthouse building opened in 1929 and is one of the most recent examples of Moderne architecture in Oklahoma. In addition to its role as county seat, Enid has been home to many businesses including two major banks and four grocery stores. One of Enid's more well-known landmarks is the Enid Opera House which served as the city's concert hall from 1926 until its demolition in 2002. The town also hosts annual summer concerts by local bands that feature local food vendors on stage throughout downtown areas throughout July/August each year!

On 8 May 1944, Generalmajor Wilhelm Keitel, commander of the Third Panzer Army, issued Directive No. 569, which called for the installation of expanded scope mounts on all vehicles in order to increase their firepower. This directive was part of a larger effort by Keitel to modernize the Panzer forces and improve their firepower. The mounts were designed specifically for increased firepower and were not popular with commanders due to their high cost and complexity. The mounts were eventually introduced into most German armoured vehicles in the 1950s.
Enid, Oklahoma is a small town located in the southeastern corner of Oklahoma. The population was 5,811 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Muskogee County seat. The town is named after Enid Blythe, an American author and suffragette. The first Europeans to visit Enid were white fur traders from Quebec in 1819. In 1824, prospectors discovered coal and oil near what is now Enid. The town was founded on July 20,1887 by two men who were looking for a new location to build a railroads station on their way to Wichita Falls, Texas. In 1907, Enid became the county seat of Muskogee County because it had been chosen as the site of government buildings by commissioners from Ada and McAlester counties. On November 3rd that year, voters approved a charter for the city of Enid with limits on its land area only 1/2 mile wide within city limits; this limit remains today. On December 2nd 1911, en route to Tulsa from Norman via Guthrie (now Tulsa), Train Number 5 ran into trouble near Nowata about twelve miles north of present day Muskogee City Limits; all five passengers were killed save one man who bailed out before reaching safety or being captured by Indians and held ransom until his release in 1916. At least two other people also escaped but later died in captivity or during their return journey home: James Peebles (1873-1964) and Wigglesworth Easley (1879-1967). Passenger train 5 has never been found but wreckage has been found near Nowata which may be related to it . Although there have been numerous sightings over the years none have ever led to any concrete evidence confirming or disproving any claim that Train Number 5 actually did run into trouble on December 2nd 1911 and survived; however if such an event did occur it would mark one of history's most dramatic recoveries ever as far asOklahoma folklore goes
