Enid, Oklahoma is a city of over 100,000 people in the southeast corner of Oklahoma. It was founded in 1907 by Simeon and Anna Boehm. The city grew rapidly due to its location on the fringes of an agricultural region that attracted farmers to the area for raising crops and selling products. In 1951, Mayor Hargrave resigned after being indicted on charges of bribery and conspiracy against municipal officials within the city limits; he was later acquitted due to lack of evidence. In 1957 Mayor Harry White assumed office following mayor Mills' resignation and served until 1959 when he also resigned due to health reasons. He was succeeded by Deputy Mayor Gail Kibel who served until 1966 when she became City Manager under new City Council rules which limited mayoral power to a two-year term effective January 1st each year rather than continuously through regular election cycles like before which gave more power to special interests outside of City Hall including business owners who controlled City Council elections at this time along with developers who pushed for redevelopment around the city core instead of improving public amenities such as parks or expanding public transportation options downtown which would have increased economic development aroundEnid instead . In 1972 Community Development District No 3 was created through a deal between then City Manager Kibel and then Treasurer Donny Bigham creating what is now known as "the Donny Bigham Project." This project aimed to improve infrastructure within Enid such as sidewalk repairs and streetlights while also increasing renewable energy production east of I-35 using wind turbines located at various properties throughout town near residential areas making local jobs possible while redeveloping these properties into mixed use housing developments consisting primarily of apartments with some commercial space available along with gardens/streamlined streetscape en route providing access into downtown via Interstate 35

Enid is a city in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 97,046 at the 2010 census. It is the second largest city in Tulsa County after Tulsa. Enid is also the county seat of Tulsa County. The first permanent settler in what would become Enid was James Fenton who arrive there on July 7, 1892 with his family from Decatur, Illinois. They were the only Europeans to live in what would become Enid at that time. Settlers from Wichita and Kansas arrived soon afterwards before large numbers of Italians and Hispanics followed during the early 1900s when oil discoveries started to be made in OKC area. In 1907, JFenton's daughter-in-law married George Henson and they founded the Henson Hotel which still stands today as one of downtown Enid’s most popular tourist attractions; it has been owned by various families since then. Other early settlers include Waddy Brown (1893), Harry Sibley (1907), John Ahern (1910) and Fenton’s son-in-law Arthur Blevins (1920). After World War I local businesses turned their attention towards repairing roads and providing other essential services for citizens during times of war without having to depend on government assistance like food or fuel shortages that had characterized much of America during that time period; this changed with Korean War veterans returning home after being servicemen stationed in Japan who brought back food storage items such as instant ramen noodles which helped revive businesses throughout town back into service again just as they had done before hostilities ceased less than a week later on September 15th 1945! A variety of factors contributed to dwindling retail store traffic around this time including competition from online retailers and increased vehicle ownership making it difficult for small merchants located close to larger stores even if they did have open parking spaces whereas today there are virtually no restrictions whatsoever on locating outlets within walking distance regardless of size!
