In fact, many important distinctions that have made us oneofAmerica's most vibrant communities – including my own – derive from our long history: Our city has been home base for several Fortune 500 companies over time; we've seen two tornado seasons within 10 years (!); we're blessed with lousy weather only once every decade or so – making us one helluva' place for businesspeople on vacation! Each year on July 4th citizens organize an annual parade down Main Street … complete with re-enactment (or “oldtimer” TIPS!)of various pioneer events dating back over 100 years!
