Gun magazines have a long and varied history in the city of Edmond, Oklahoma. In 1892, the first gun magazine was organized in the city. The magazine was called "The Western Gun Journal." The first issue of the journal was published on October 1st, 1892. At that time,Edmond had only a few hundred residents. However, due to its importance in the culture and society of Edmond at that time, The Western Gun Journal quickly became one of the most popular gun magazines in town. In 1906, The Western Gun Journal merged with another local paper, "The Oklahoman," to form the "Edmond Oklahoman." Despite this merger being opposed by some within town politics because it increased competition from the new publication, eventually The Oklahoman became one of the most influential newspapers in town. over time many other notable businesses also adopted similar naming conventions for their firearms magazines: "The Pistolsmith", "The Rifleman", etc. In 1969, after more than 60 years as an independent publication (including 19 years as part of Hearst Corporation's Newspaper Group), "The Oklahoman" ceased print operations and all its publications were merged into their parent company's flagship paper –the Tulsa World– under single management control. In 1999-2000 when newspaper printing presses were retired across westernmost Oklahoma due to economic competition from digital media such as websites and apps,[1] Guns & Ammo began reprinting issues from old issues boxes stored at Hearst's Tulsa headquarters until they could be reprinted statewide[2]. After many incarnations through several owners before settling at Guns & Ammo Magazine Inc., we are enjoys continuing our oral tradition that “Without good ammo there is nothing to fight for”
There are many types of magazines for handguns. Magazines can be either internal or external. Internal magazine magazines get inserted into the gun and hold the rounds like a deck of cards. External magazine magazines are attached to other objects such as a car or truck, and they hold rounds in a stack like you would find on an old ammunition box. Top-loading magazines require you to remove the entire ammo clip before loading the next round into the mag; bottom-loader magazines have one Ammo Slot that holds both rounds from either side and clips feed them from there; clips-fed Magazine designs allow you to load one round at a time by clipping it onto one end of a clip, then flipping it over so that the round is hidden by the other clip when it's ready to go When choosing which type of magazine to buy for your handgun, keep these factors in mind: how often you will use your handgun, how much ammo you will need per session, comfort level with using different mags (internal or external), ease of reloading (clip fed vs Ammo Slot). The three main types of handguns are those with revolvers and semi-automatic pistols where caliber matters most (9mm Luger / .357 Sig etc.), Compact Beretta 92/94 pistols chambered in 9mm Parabellum & 10mm S&W Specials and all others where caliber does not matter as much but extra safety features may come in handy such as an grip safety/hammerlock system. If you only plan on shooting short bursts at close range this should be fine with any magazine type but if you anticipate firing more than ten rounds per minute some form of capacity reduction is always desirable especially if carried in waistband area since less space is available for carrying around multiple mags without taking up valuable belt space.

The town was founded by Captain Austin Stillwell in 1875 as "Stillwell's Station" on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway. In 1907, it was renamed after Major General Edward M. Sanford, Jr., commander of the First World War forces in Mexico City. In 2013, Edmond became an official city after being passed by its local government ordinance referendum with 59% approval from voters. The city limits are set at North Lamar Boulevard east to west; South Lamar Boulevard north to south; and Broadway Avenue east to west. Edmond was founded by Captains Austin Stillwell and John Pogue Stillwell on October 15th 1875 as “Stillwell’s Station” on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway near present day Poteauville Rd./Edmond Rd., what is now known as Haskell County seat (now McKinney). Captain Austin Stillwell named his new settlement for Major General Edward M. Sanford who had successfully fought in Mexico City during World War I against Spanish forces under Crown Prince Victoriano Huerta. The townsite included land donated by Mrs Aileen Ewing Sanford which stretched along both streets today including North Lamar Boulevard from east to west and South Lamar from north to south just like Kansas City did when they were incorporated into city limits back in 1903! By 1907 when it changed names to “Edmond” it had become one of America’s fastest growing cities due to railroad ties running through its center! Today there are many descendants living here such as: Rev Dr Tom Askew (Classical Priest), Rev Dr Billie Jean Hargrave (Pastor), Mr & Mrs Donnie Ray Smith (Mine Owners) all natives/descendants of CaptainsAustin&JohnPogueStillswell who founded this great place we call home back in 1875
