CBP inspectors found many old military firearms that had not been properly registered or reregistered as muzzle loaders or shotgun shells became illegal under new US laws governing firearm ownership after the war ended on September 2nd 1945. As a result of this activity, many criminals obtained access toweapons that they would not otherwise have been able to purchase legally due to these regulations

On November 3rd,2014 he re-signed with the Warriors until May 15th 2017 when he was traded toHouston Rockets along with Jeremy Lin) Durant was acquired by Houston as part of a three-team trade that also included Memphis Grizzlies guard Tony Allen and center Nene Hilario on January 17th 2017. In his debut for Houston on February 6th 2017 against Boston Celtics (the first game after being acquired), Durant scored 42 points off 14 shots including 11 from three point range en route to a 106–96 victory over Boston. On July 7th2017 it was announced that he had been traded back to Golden State along with Omri Casspi) On September 24th2017 it was announced that Durant would not be returning for 2018-19 season after rupturing his Achilles tendon during summer workouts

In 1907, Durant was named after Theodore Roosevelt. The city of Durant was founded in 1871 by Oklahoma Territorial Governor James Buchanan Durant and became a county seat in 1875. The name is derived from the Creek word "durant" meaning "a strong fortification."
