Duncan Gun Manufacturing and Distributing is a subsidiary of American Outdoor Brands Corporation. American Outdoor Brands Corporation (AOBC) has been the manufacturer of firearms for over 60 years. AOBC was founded in 1913 and today manufactures more than 1,000 firearms products including handguns, shotguns, rifles, ammunition, and much more. In 1934, Bendix Arms Company merged with American Outdoor Brands Corporation to form Duncan Gun Manufacturing and Distributing Incorporated. The company continues to manufacture firearms under the name Duncan Gun Manufacturing & Distributing today. In 1984, American Outdoor also purchased Enterprise Firearms Sales Inc., which manufactured Sturm Ruger pistols in Duncan. Enterprise Firearms Sales continued to produce guns until 1990 when it became part of US Customs Service’s National Firearms Stock certificate program. Today Enterprise Firearms sales hangs on a thin line as they are both registered importers with the BATFE but are not currently licensed dealers because they sell weapons that were once part of American Outdoor brands product lines but have since been re-branded as their own products
