The first guns were bought and used in the early days of the Oklahoma Territory. The area now known as Del City was at the time a Indian Reservation. There were no towns or villages, only scattered plantations and reservations. It was a remote place with little access to anything else. Residents of the reservation depended on their horses for transportation and hunting supplies. In 1859, John Wesley Powell discovered gold in Oklahoma Territory and decided to colonize the area. He founded Wichita Falls, Texas, which became one of the largest cities in America. After he discovered gold, he started to bring over families from his Colorado ranch to start new lives in Oklahoma Territory. Many men and women worked on his ranch until they could find enough land to build their own home. One man who lived near where Wichita Falls now stands was George Armstrong Custer, who fought in World War I and later became an Ulysses S Grant president. When he died in 1902, his widow moved her family to Del City so they could live closer to her husband’s old stomping grounds. As more people arrived in Del City, there was need for gun cleaning kits (Guns ‘n Guts). In 1907-08, William Husted opened a shop called Husted’s Gun Shop on Eighth Street between State and Maple Streets that specialized in selling these kits. This store continued to be open until around 1970 when it closed down because of changes within the gun business that didn’t allow sales of such things anymore

Del City, Oklahoma is a city in the state of Oklahoma, United States. The population was 397 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Haskell County. The name "Del City" originated as a contraction of "Des Moines", Iowa, and "Lonely Prairie". In 1907, when the USGS first surveyed this area it proposed calling it "Lonely Bluff", but since then the community's name has been official. Del City is located on what was once a large prairie which now forms only part of the city limits. According to the 2010 Census, Del City had a total area of 24 square miles (71 km²). The early history of this small town can be traced back to 1868 when General James K. Polk sent wagonloads of settlers westward in search of new land to settle after his victory in President Ulysses S. Grant's Compromise Of 1868. Many men and women from Des Moines were among these pioneers and they named their town Loney Prairie after Lone Pine Creek that ran through their town site. A post office was established at Loney Prairie in 1870 and mail started arriving from Wichita, Kansas soon thereafter! By 1880 there were over 100 citizens living in Loney Prairie! However, by 1890 many residents had moved out or died during the Panic Of 1893-1894 so most active growth took place outside of town until 1901 when a movie theater opened called Theaters West which served as the center for social activities for all Residents of Loney Prairie! In 1902 Edwin Bemis donated land adjacent to what is today Del Citylimits for a school district that would eventually become Haskell County Schools! This donation made possible not only education for future generations but also jobs for current residents who contributed much towards building both facility and infrastructure including roads, water systems etcetera! Today more than 40 years later Haskell County Schools still operates out of this same location making it one giant complex that includes five buildings – three high schools (Alamo Heights East; Alamo Heights West), one middle school (Lakeview Middle) and two elementary schools (Edwards Elementary & Liberty Intermediate)! It should come as no surprise then thatDel City has always been an important community within Haskell County with its own economy coupled with its stature as one of our most popular tourist destinations! From shopping centers like Mockingbird Outlet Center & KHRC Mall to restaurants like Longhorn Steakhouse & Texas Roadhouse everything you could possibly want or need is just minutes away from your doorstep! And if that isn't incentive enough consider all those amazing things that have happened here throughout its long history… such as becoming home to America’s tallest steel girder bridge crossing over Arkansas River while still being able to call itself “DelCity”; hosting world renowned rodeo events each year such as OKC Livestock Show & Rodeo; opening up shop in downtown Tulsa during revival days known as “The Great American Street Fair”; now being designated an International Historic District!!!

Del City is a town in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 4,041 at the 2010 census. The town was founded in 1881 by farmers who migrated from Illinois. It was named for the Del River which flows through the town. The first post office in Del City was established in 1887. In 1907, the towns consolidated into one municipality and were renamed Muskogee County. The current name of the town comes from an Indian word meaning "city on a hill." The land that makes up Del City today came to be where it is today thanks to Spanish traders and their Native American guides who explored this area during the early 1800s. After Spain lost its colonies in Mexico during the Mexican-American War (1848-1850), settlers began moving into what is now Muskogee County and Kansas Territory including present-day Del City. By 1881, these pioneers had founded a small village on high ground east of present-day downtown Muskogee Falls with only seven buildings and fifty residents. This small community thrived for years due to its location near water resources and good hunting grounds for white game animals such as deer and buffalo. However, as time passed more people started moving into this isolated community and soon enough there were too few buildings or people to support a full-time government or school system. This led to some difficult challenges for local leaders like Wm Hite when he unsuccessfully tried to establish a county seat here in 1904 because there were no other villages nearby that could provide tax support necessary for such an endeavor Fortunately, things changed after Wm Hite's death when several influential citizens banded together to create a new organization called the Muskogee Agricultural Society (MASS) which functioned as both a agricultural donation drive and civic booster group until 1919 when it merged with another charity called First Presbyterian Church (FPC). At this point having two churches made much difference as MASS quickly built up an infrastructure capable of supporting not just their own activities but also those of neighboring villages which had similar needs including schools, hospitals, libraries, etc . A new courthouse was completed in 1911 using funds provided by MASS memberships along with private donations from individuals within the community . This courthouse served as central processing center for all legal proceedings throughout most of Oklahoma until it burned down in 1916 . MASS continued to contribute money towards building new infrastructure however by 1922 they had outgrown their initial facilities so they decided instead to donate all assets – equipment included – plus 500 acres (1 km2) of property located northeast of downtown Muskogee Falls which would become known as Parkland Lakefront Park later that year

The town of Del City was founded by a group of farmers in 1881. The town became a popular tourist spot due to its natural attractions such as the White Sands National Monument and the Tombstone Rebellion. The town also played a role in local politics and economy. In 1905, the city was renamed Oklahoma City after statehood occurred in 1907.
