After World War II, Colt Firearms Corporation withdrew from production of weapons and ammunition due to low sales rates. However, the company continues to produce a limited number of revolvers per year today under their existing name of Colt revolver corporation

When Oklahoma became a state in 1907, Del City became its capital and continued to be its seat until 1919 when it moved to McAlester. In 1925, Del City annexed the towns of Muskogee and Miami and renamed itself after then-President Calvin Coolidge's birthplace, Dorchester MA. In 1955, Del City merged with neighboring towns Muskogee and Miami to form what is now known as Tulsa/Hiltonville Micropolitan Statistical Area
