He imported land to create what became Claremorle Township in 1868; that same year saw also the arrival of General James Hargrave with his army's Department of Texas Rangers on horseback and wagon train. The town began as a trading post on Hargrave's route between Fort Gibson and Wichita Falls, Texas Territory (now Wichita Falls, Kansas). In 1875 – eighteen months after Haskell County had been organized – General George Armstrong Custer arrived at Claremorle Depot with his cavalry brigade under command of Major-General Nelson Averill Grant to survey new territory forthe Union army during the American Civil War. The first school building in Claremorle was built by Wm Ransom in 1870; it burned down in 1893 but was rebuilt three years later using lumber brought over by Tishomingo Native Americans who had recently abandoned their traditional hunting grounds near present day Claremore Boulevard and US 171 west of town limits. As farming increased around hereabouts during the late 1800s due largely to irrigation projects developed along both creeks flowing through this area - particularly Beaver Creek - many large families settled here including those who constructed Beardsley Dam across Beaver Creek & White Sands Lake upstream from town limits back then (& still doing so), notably: Parnell Robison (mentioned earlier herein), Alexander McIntosh (later State Senator from 1907-1911) & others associated therewith thruout their long lifetimes ('til death did them part). By 1901 however most residents were self-sufficient rural farmers/ ranchers wit h modest outbuildings/camps nothing more than grinding stone tools used for ranching purposes only some miles away ol their homes elsewhere within today's bounds ol present day ClareMORE ROAD just east ol jurisdiction u s 173 wid enng side properties backing onto those two bodies cf creek towndown main street ahd up Cherry Street wenigtown Limits

It also allowed for observations into very dark skies where other types of telescopes were not possible or inadequate! With this new technology, Herschel discovered many famous objects including Australis (1851), Deneb (1857), Antlia (1861), Vela (1865), Ptolemy’s Comet (1680), Cassiopeia A(1781) and more! Many scientists who worked on microscopy during this time also made important contributions to astronomy with their microscopes! For example, Ivan Maksimenko developed a microscope that could magnify images up to 4x!! He also discovered melanin in skin cells which helped him learn how black people are different from white people!
