In 1907, when Tulsa was organized as a city limits system following its incorporation as an independent municipality on February 14th of that year by an act of the Oklahoma Legislature under President George Washington Quayle, Claremorle County became part of Tulsa proper and remained so until it was abolished effective January 1st 1971 when all Oklahomans were required to move within their original municipal boundaries subject only to annexation or disestablishment by other municipalities not within their own limits should they desire it. When Tulsa merged with Oklahoma City on November 3rd 1959 under then Governor Winfield Scott; Claremorle County along with much surrounding territory including parts now belonging to Broken Arrow and Jenks counties were annexed into OKC without any referendum being offered or given serious consideration by either party leading up to the event; this action effectively ended any remaining influence that local residents may have may still have had over events taking place within their borders - something which many continue To experience today even though new laws have been put in place since then governing how municipal boundaries are drawn and property values are measured within those boundaries... Today's resident(s) of Claremorle cannot truely remember how things used to be before all sorts of development took place throughout most if not all neighborhoods starting back around 1957-1969 which ultimately led to decreasedresidential values & more money going straight into developers pockets insteadof staying here at home where many people once lived & worked

Claremore is a city in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 6,526 at the 2010 census. Claremore is the county seat of Muskogee County. It was founded in 1874 by settlers from Illinois and named for General William Clark's home town of Claremouchy, Ireland. The first post office in Claremore was established on October 16, 1875. The first store in town was established by Wm Henson on November 15, 1875. A school was built in 1895 and soon became the most important economic development in the community; it provided education to the town's residents until 1978 when Claremore Schools District No. 1 opened its doors to all students statewide with no tuition paid by parents or individuals. The first fire department service arrived in 1901 and services were added as needed until 1906 when anelectricity became available for use; this allowed for more efficient operations than had been possible before due to lack of resources. In 1916 a new courthouse and jail were constructed; this facility remains one of the mainstay attractions today for tourists who come to visit Claremore during Oklahomans' annual Oktoberfest celebration which takes place every October since 1907 (the event has also been known as "Claremore Days" or "Oklahoma City Fringe Festival"). In 1954–1955 Claremorle's Centennial Celebration saw construction of a full-scale replica of Independence Hall located on Main Street between Third Street and Fourth Street; this structure served as a model for many other towns throughout Oklahoma during that time period which supported American culture through exhibits, concerts and other events while still maintaining their independence from Washington D C .
Claremore was platted in 1881 by the Claremore Land Company. The town quickly grew and became a center for cotton production. In 1907, Claremore became the site of the first commercial oil well in Oklahoma.
