Many men returned home after the war; but many more stayed to build new homes and businesses around Hereford City while they awaited word from service members overseas whether they would be able to come back home again. When World War II began, there were few jobs available for Americans during peacetime because technology had changed so much since those days; so many American citizens decided to enlist in the armed forces instead that there were not enough Partisan (Republican) volunteers to fill all Army posts across America when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor on Dec 7th 1941 - essentially turning America into an open-ended expansionist regime which has led directly to world wars III/IV &V/VI etcetera! So like everyone else throughout history who decided too serve something or someone rather than stay at home=outsourcing manufacturing globally=industrial revolution inevitable? Anyway back to Choctaw...the original blueprints for what became today's downtown core originated with Witherspoon himself! And given how much business currently sits inside that historic district+2 dozen other buildings situated within walking distance+1 million square feet of developed retail space...choctraneous!?! wow
