Choctaw is a town in Wood County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 2,898 at the 2010 census. Choctaw is on the Choctaw National Forest. The Choctaw Native Americans were once the largest and most influential group of Native Americans in Oklahoma. They occupied much of what are now eastern and central Oklahoma before being pushed out by European settlers in 1836. The first Europeans to arrive in what is now Choctaw County were French traders who explored the area in 1807-09 and named it for a small tribe of Cajuns living near Mobile, Alabama. The French abandoned their exploration after finding no water sources or other valuable resources nearby. In 1836, white settlers began coming to the area to build new homes and farmlands. They named their new county after a small Indian tribe they had recently defeated: the Creek Nation (the name applied retrospectively because some Creek Indians had already moved away from their original homeland). This region would become known as Choctaw County because many of its residents spoke Cherokee or Chickasaw language (a branch of southern Appalachian English). The first white school was built about two miles east of present day Choctaw City on an empty lot that later became home to the Methodist Episcopal Church. A post office was established at convergence point with Woodward Avenue and US 66 in 1836; this location would be renamed Westville in 1907 when federal regulations prohibited towns from having names that included biblical figures or geographic features associated with European countries such as Spain, Switzerland, Portugal etc.). By 1840, over 50% of all farms inchoatw were owned bywhite men; only 10% belonged to black women and children. African American men worked as sharecroppers on large cotton plantations throughout southeastern Arkansas until 1865 when they were given full rights under Reconstruction legislation following America's Civil War victory over Confederate forces

However, some experts have argued that Smith & Wesson's revolver magazines may be defective because they are made from very low-quality materials which can lead to defects in ammunition feeding into them.
In 1911, Colt introduced its first magazine-fed firearms. The magazines were known as "10-rounders." The 10-rounders were but a small step in the evolution of modern arms and ammunition. In 1913, Colt introduced their first belt-fed shotguns. These rifles were called the "12 gauge" and were designed to take standard 12ga shotgun shells instead of the more powerful 9mm rounds that had been available at the time.
