The Choctaw people are a Native American Tribe located in the eastern United States. They are descendants of the Mississippian culture, which flourished in what is now Oklahoma and Arkansas during the Late Glacial period. The Creeks and Seminoles also lived near by, but eventually all three groups amalgamated to form the Choctaw Nation. The Choctaws have been living in Oklahoma since 1821 when they were forced out of their traditional territory by the U.S. government. They continue to live as a federally recognized tribe and pursue their traditional ways of life, such as hunting, fishing, and gathering food sources.Today, there are about 6,000 Choctaws living inOklahoma alone. There is evidence that the Choctaws may have come from India or China before settling down on this land around 1250 AD. Evidence suggests that early hunters caught game with stone spears from long distances and traded items like beads and other small objects with other tribes for meat or goods from further away settlements. Eventually, these traders developed trade routes connecting different parts of North America; this allowed for new arrivals to settle down hereabouts over time! 4200 years ago, tools used for agriculture were first discovered on this continent; these tools included sickles, hoes, spades (or chisels), axes (or daggers), mortars/pestles/hammers/chisels etc., which helped farmers grow crops while shielding them from animal attacks or natural disasters like hurricanes or tornadoes! This type of technology was later refined into more complex forms such as irrigation systems and crop husbandry through domestication of plants like maize (Aztec) or beans (Chinook). It wasn’t until after Columbus arrived on this continent that Europeans began exploring our current location – after all he thought we were just another piece of Asia! Eventually contact was made with Spanish explorers who called us “the natives” because we looked similar to them- even though we had no bones left evidence behind! In 1534 AD an expedition led by Pedro de Alvarado reached present day Oklahoma City; he named it Santa Fe de Nuevo Mexico because according to his calculations it should be in Tierra del Fuego(New Mexico)! After landing here he founded a city called Sonora(now Chihuahua) where he established trading posts and sold Indian slaves! It wasn’t until 1672 AD when Captain John Tompkins explored this area while looking for a route back home that he met some Indians hereabouts- one of whom was Chief Tecumseh! After talking with him Tompkins decided that Oklahoma could be part of his new colony – naming it Virginia after James I King Of England!!! We still use those old English names today despite being renamed multiple times!! In 1907 US Cavalry completed an exploratory mission into Indian Territory; they found oil wells hereabouts but never tapped them due to lack of infrastructure at the time!! In 1969 Texas statehood granted Oklahomans voting rights so things started getting interesting…but then again so did illegal drilling rigs lol

Choctaw is a town in Choctaw County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,849 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area. The first permanent settler in what is now Choctaw County was James Fenton in 1868. The town of Choctaw was founded on November 15, 1872 by John Witherspoon and others from Arkansas as a station on the Canadian Pacific Railway between McAlester and Tulsa. A post office called Choctaw was established in 1873, and remained open until 1907. In 1907, the towns of Uniontown and Jenks were consolidated with Choctaw to form the new town of Uniontown-Jenkins. The name for Uniontown-Jenkins was changed to Choctaw in 1912 when it became official territory of the federal government during Indian Removal policies that began in 1888 pursuant to U.S. Treaties with Native American nations signed at Fort Gibson and other locations across Oklahoma Territory. Choctaw has had a small agricultural economy since its founding; however, manufacturing became more common after World War II because of increased demand for automobiles and other products made in America by Japanese companies such as Toyota Motor Manufacturing Co., Nissan Motor Corporation, Mitsubishi Motors Company, Kawasaki Heavy Industries Co., Suzuki Motor Corporation, etc.. After many years of decline due to economic stagnation and large budget cuts by local governments throughout much of the 1990s and 2000s, businesses have growth include several high-tech enterprises such as Lockheed Martin Missiles & Space corporation's worldwide satellite operations center located within the boundaries ofchoctawsouthwesthighschool;and Danaher Limited's (formerly Energizer) batteries business which employs approximately 350 people at two plants located directly adjacent to each other on I-40 near Independence High School outside downtown Wichita Falls
Choctaw is a Native American community located in southeastern Oklahoma, United States. The Choctaw Nation was organized on October 26, 1907 and its capital was at Tahlequah. The Oklahoma Territory was created on August 29, 1907 and the tribe had jurisdiction over all of modern-day Choctaw County and portions of Haskell, Kayford, Lincoln counties. On December 26, 1911 the Choctaw Nation ceded their territorial lands to the federal government for $5 million in exchange for military protection during World War I. It was not until 1934 that they were again allowed to organize within the Indian Country.
