Gun triggers have a long and varied history in Chickasha, Oklahoma. From the early days of firearms to today, gun triggers have been an important part of the local firearm culture. Some of the earliest handguns in Chickasha were made with trigger mechanisms. Trigger mechanisms were simple devices that allowed owners to cock and fire firearms quickly and easily. They also contributed to the development of handgun use in Chickasha. The first handguns made in Chickasha were designed by J.W. Beavers and Wm Hobert. These pistols used a hammer-fired system that operated on a pull springs mechanism which inserted into the breech of the handgun from behind. The trigger was located on one side of the pistol grip, just below where the hand rested when firing it. This system was soon replaced by another design, called an Offenbach slideTrigger, which required no pulls or Springs to operate it; it simply turned on when hitched onto an infantryman’s belt or over his shoulder (see image below). During World War II, many civilians in Tulsa County joined the military and began using automatic pistols as issue weapons. As war progressed, automatic pistols became more common among service members and politicians alike due to their speed and convenience. Gunsmiths started creating new designs for automatic pistols based on army specifications but these became difficult to produce due to lack of resources at that time (see image below). In response, John Brown & Sons developed their own version of an Automatic Pistol utilizing a striker fired system which they christened “Browning Hi-Power” (see imagebelow). The success of this design led BrowningTo expand production for their pistol line across America beginning with batch V1 models in 1941 (see images #2 & #3). The following year saw batch VI models being produced with different barrel lengths including 18 inches (45 cm) length barrels manufactured by Godfrey Earle Manufacturing Company Ltd., now known as M&P Defense Incorporated From here onwards Automatic Pistol manufacturing become much more complex as various companies tried to improve upon each other’s products until finally Colt produced their classic business model Automatic Pistol – chambered for all possible calibers including police (.357 Magnum), navy (.30 caliber), general purpose (.22 LR) and even black powder cartridges like Remington 870 Winchester! It should be noted however that while Coltproduced millions during this era Automatic Pistols continued to be imported into Canada under licence until after its absorption into Canadawhite Army Industries Limited late in 1957

Chickasha was originally known as "Hutchinson." The name changed to "Chickasha" after the death of one of its founders, A.F. Hutchison, in 1907. The town has a history that dates back to 1881 when settlers from Arkansas and Kansas arrived in an effort to find new land to settle. One of the early residents, A.F Hutchison, chose the name Chickasha after he found an animal that he thought looked like a chicken but with wings instead of legs. Hutchison named his settlement after this creature and it became known as Chickasha until 1907 when the name changed again to "Chickasha." In 1914, Chickasha became part of Tulsa County and remained so until 1971 when it became part of Muskogee County due to population growth within Tulsa County. Today, Chickasha is a small community with a strong economy that relies on agriculture and manufacturing throughout its core businesses including agribusinesses such as Archer Daniels Midland Company and Monsanto; retail stores such as Walmart; services such as water treatment; and tourism based industries such as hunting and fishing opportunities available through nearby Osage Hills Resort & Casino or nearby Cherokee Park State Park

In recent years Chickasha has become known for its annual Oktoberfest celebration which features music and food from around the world.
