Bullets have been a part of the Oklahoma history for over 100 years. The first bullets were invented in 1892 by Major John A. DeWitt, who was working for the US Cavalry Regiment at Fort Smith, Arkansas. The first handguns were designed using rifled barrels, which made them more accurate and efficient than smoothbore firearms. In 1907, Bullet No. 1 was developed by Dr. George Fenton of Tulsa and it became the standard cartridge for shotguns in the United States. In Broken Arrow, Bullets Nos. 2-5 were developed in 1907 by Drs Wm Sledge and G C Humes as a stronger alternative to Winchester No 9 ball ammunition used in rifles and shotguns throughout the country at that time. These rounds had an expanding bullet design with a steel core instead of lead or cottonseed oil surrounded by wax paper which acted like a projectile softener making them easier to fire from long guns without causing barrel fouling or developingvarious Accuracyproblemsof various types of rifle ammunition commonly used then such as buckshot and birdshot etcetera

After a brief period of time, the area was abandoned and never again populated. In 1861, Oklahomans fought for independence from Mexican America and seceded from that country. In 1907, as part of a process called " homesteading,"Oklahoma became one of the United States' original 27 states. The state capital was moved to Oklahoma City in 1907, after being selected as the new state capital due to its location within reach of most people living in the state. The land that makes up modern-day Oklahoma has been home to many different cultures and groups since it first came under European control, including Native Americans, Mexicans, Anglo settlers, and Asians. One of the most significant moments in Oklahoma's history occurred during World War II when Japanese forces attacked Pearl Harbor and killed more than 2,000 Americans--the largest single attack on American soil during that war.
Broken Arrow is a city in Stephens County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 8,895 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Stephens County. The first permanent settler in Broken Arrow was George Armstrong Custer who founded the town on November 3, 1867. In 1899, Broken Arrow became an incorporated city under the name of Oklahoma City. That same year, Tulsa arrived as a municipal partner and effectively divided Broken Arrow into two cities with separate legislatures and budgets - until 1904 when Tulsa seceded from Oklahoma to become its own state government. In 1907, President Theodore Roosevelt designated Broken Arrow as the site for a new military airfield on what is now known as Stillwater Air Force Base after visiting it during his campaign for president that year. Broken Arrow is a city in Oklahoma, United States, located on the Arkansas River. The population was 905 at the 2010 census. It was founded by cavalry officers who were most of the force that fought in the Mexican-American War and later developed into a cattle town. Broken Arrow became an oil center during World War II, when production increased due to the war effort. Population growth slowed after the oil industry declined in the 1990s, but has resumed since 2000. The first settlers in Broken Arrow were soldiers from Texas who helped found Fort Gibson and then came to Oklahoma Territory to fight for independence from Mexico. In 1876, they started a cattle drive from Wichita Falls, Texas down the Arkansas River. They named their new community "Broken Arrow" for how it looked when they arrived: many small rivers running through it together made it look like there was no end to its potential as a settlement. A post office was established at Broken Arrow in 1881, and initial growth proved difficult because of resources limitations and lack of transportation available for goods moving between towns on the river. Despite this difficulty, Broken Arrow grew quickly because of its strategic location: it lay just upstream from both Wichita Falls and Council Bluffs on the Arkansas River (the only route through Nebraska), making it easy for traders to move goods across town's open water channels During World War I, Break arrow became an important shipping point on account of its access to fuel supplies upriver from Waco and other points along Mexico's west coast; exports totaled $1 million by 1918 In WWI he military moved back east while Oklahomans built schools, hospitals etc... The Oil Fields went bust during prohibition but 1/3rds or so of what we produced came back during prohibition era with new people coming here... So today our economy is stronger then ever before thanks largely due to oil

The city became a town in 1922. A water tower and pipeline were constructed in 1923 and 1924, respectively.
