This ordinance remained in effect until 1984 when it was repealed due to public opposition . However, Mace usage continued sporadically through most of the 1980s before becoming largely discontinued . Bixby, Oklahoma is a small town located in the eastern part of the US state of Oklahoma. The population was 7,919 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Tulsa County. Bixby is located on the Arkansas River and has a humid subtropical climate. The first white person to live in what is now Bixby was Fayette Dixon in 1839. A post office called Bixby was established in 1844, and it remained in operation until 1907. In 1902, Daniel Boone died in what is now Bixby and was buried there. During World War II, Bixby played an important role as an airfield for American forces stationed in Tulsa County. The local military base (OKA-1) provided essential facilities for training pilots during the war including runways that could be used by planes up to 50 feet wide with an area of 100 acres (40 hectares). In 1949, Eisenhower visited Bixby while he was president of America and signed two Executive Orders creating OKC-2 Airport which served as Tulsa's main airport from then on until its closure by FAA regulation on November 15th 1976. On that date OKC-2 Closed effective immediately due to lack of funding from Congress to keep it open beyond 1976 however many people believe this closure may have been based more around politics than actual lack of interest or need because both airports were about 5 miles apart with very limited overlapping traffic so why close one when you can have both open? There are several theories surrounding why OKC-2 closed but no definitive answer exists even though over 35 years later all evidence suggests otherwise! On July 16th 1984 tornado destroyed much property east of I-35W between Ector Road & NW 24th Street killing 3 people and causing extensive damage including trees down neighbor’s yards & power outages for days
