During his tenure, Yeoman's Opticals Store became one of the most well-known suppliers of optical equipment throughout central Oklahoma. In1977, Yeoman's Opticals Store merged with another local business to form AO Electronics Company Inc., which continues to operate today as one of the largest optical accessory dealers in Tulsa County! Bethany, Oklahoma is a small town in the state of Oklahoma. The population was 1,827 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Muskogee County seat and surrounds the city of Bethany. Bethany was founded in 1881 by members of the Methodist Church. The first post office opened in Bethany on July 16, 1881. In 1907, Bethany became a town when it amalgamated with neighboring towns of Haskell and Wilburton. In 1954, Bethany-Wilburton School District merged into Muskogee County Schools; however, all students within the district continued to attend schools within Muskogee County until 2002 when they were consolidated into one school district under government ownership and control. The majority of jobs in Bethany are found in agriculture or ranching; however there are also some manufacturing jobs here as well as a few construction jobs. There are also several churches located in and around town which play an important role in its community life.

Bethany was founded in 1881 by settlers from Illinois and named for Miss Bessie DeVoe, who had come to the area to visit her family. The first post office in Bethany was established in 1882. The town experienced a rapid growth after it was platted in 1886 with a population of around 100 people. By 1907 Bethany had reached its peak with a population of 1,500 people and grew rapidly thereafter until 1940 when it declined by 50% due to World War II-related cancellations of settlements across the country. During the 20th century there were several large agricultural projects that took place in Bethany including corn farming, cotton production and cattle raising; these projects left an impact on the overall economy which still persists today (see below). In addition to its economic significance, Bethany has also been known for its history and architecture which has been featured on numerous books and video games including "The Sims" series. In 1840s Jedediah Smith traveled through Payne County looking for new land to settle after finding out about previous claims from his father-in-law Major John Wesley Powell Jr.. After spending some time exploring some of this land he came up with the idea of naming what he found “Bethany” after Miss Bessie DeVoe who had visited him while he was on his trip through central Oklahoma Territory (now Payne County).[1] On July 1st 1881 James WALKER became the first settler at what would later be called Bethany when he arrived from Illinois.[2] As other settlers arrived over time more were added until by 1906 all but two residents lived within one mile of each other – this being before telephone service existed or mail service even existed! This rapid growth led to many problems as Villages started popping up all around town without any proper planning or zoning - something that would continue into the 21st century as development crews frequently bulldozed entire blocks of native forests and creek channels just so they could build their next project! In fact much later during an interview withdan@thesimsfiles.com James Walker mentioned that not many people cared about such things back then because life wasn’t very exciting & “people didn’t have much else going for them”[3]. However over time as more businesses opened up along side new houses & streets started creeping downriver across property lines things changed considerably! In 1902 local attorney Denton LEE filed suit against six separate private individuals who had built homes on portions of his client General Electric's Rancho Conchita near present day downtown BethANY . Ultimately both parties settled out-of court but this case highlighted how important it was for everyone involved to stay aware of each others' intentions & covenants not just because litigation could easily happen but more importantly because without rules everybody would get too comfortable & then things might fall apart quickly – remember those days?[4][5] By 1910 most everyone living within one mile radius either worked outside or did farm work so there wasn't really much need for a community center/school etc since everything happened pretty fast anyway! Even today though there are remnants OF school spirit evident throughout various street names like Main Street (& earlier Willow)407 NW 2nd Ave., Northwest Boulevard (& older Second Avenue), Cedar Avenue (& older Angelina), Elk Road (& older Chickasaw) etc.; testament to how close things once were! In 1912 vice president Alonzo Kline selected Seattle dynamite manufacturer George Fenton TO design & construct an artificial reef off shore at present day Newport Beach Blvd wherelater Mabel Dodge Ball used it as part of her TV show "The Connaught Club" episodes #8&9 . This event helped spur interest in boating & fishing items becoming available MUCH closer ashore so sport fishermen could bring their catches closer [6][7]. It should be noted however that no Big Ben Municipal Pier materialized anywhere near where we now stand!] As technology advanced duringthe 1920s A&P grocery store manager Shelly Huffman imported ice cream made by GEICO trucks onto her lot adjoining Clyde Strain's department store - serving customers thru concrete barriers inside&out !! A truck stop Similar fashion soon popped up along Saginaw Rd east side near Saginaw High School !!!!! By 1930 Hwy 19 Bridge crossing Quanah River Taylorsville Rd closed due To overflow From AHP Store!! traffic Calumet Ave junction became impassable
