On May 1, 1930 Tulsa annexed all but two blocks of Bartlesville (including its waterworks) as part of plans for becoming Greater Tulsa; however this annexation did not take place due to community opposition and protests led by Mayor Wray Hammonds Jr.. On November 3, 1930 Tulsa City Council moved ahead with plans to annex all but two blocks of Bartlesville as part of plans for becoming Greater Tulsa once again; however this annexation also did not take place due to community opposition and protests led by Mayor Wray Hammonds Jr.. On February 14, 1941 Oklahoma Statehood resulted in the cessation of local government within Oklahoma; effective February 21st that year all functions within Barthleland County were vested with the newly created OK Departmentof Public Works which remained in operation until 1959 when it was abolished pursuant to federal law as part of Towers Act program changes which eliminated many regional government services throughout the United States including municipal governments . In November 2009, a federal judge ruled that Yvette Clarke-Thompson may sue New York City over its use of Tasers on civilians during operations; Clarke-Thompson is challenging whether her rights were violated as a result "based upon reasonable suspicion."
