Bartlesville, Oklahoma (population: 3,000) is a small town located in the eastern Great Plains of the United States. The population was only 1,537 as of the 2010 census. Bartlesville is named for General John Nance Garner, who served as military governor and then US Senator from Oklahoma from 1907 to 1911. The town began as a stop on the Santa Fe Trail and later became an important trading center in Indian Territory during the 19th century. With its growing population andCorpus Christi–based industry, Bartlesville has seen growth in recent years. The first settlers to enter Bartlesville were German immigrants who came there in 1881 to work on the Trans-Mississippi Railroad. By 1886, there were 5 businesses in town – wagon shop, grocery store, blacksmith shop, hotel/motel and millinery store – all of which continued to operate until around 1925 when they all closed down because of Prohibition. The last business to close down was the millinery store which opened up again in 1957 but closed again by 1962 due to economic conditions experiencing throughout that decade. Bartlesville experienced some significant changes during World War II when over 110 businesses closed their doors because of war production shortages; however most reopened within a few months after hostilities ended. Afterward many new businesses opened up including several restaurants and small stores along with an increase in jobs opportunities for local residents both full-time and part-time. In 1984 more than 20% of Bartlesville’s workforce was employed outside the community by businesses within or adjacent thereto; today that number stands at just 10%. Today mostly single family homes remain standing along with a scattering of other older buildings dating back to earlysettlement days such as churches and schoolhouses dating back before 1890 when Bartholomew Township was organized into civil townships separate from Indian Territory settlement patterns until 1861 when those same townships were annexed by Tulsa County becoming part of what is now Tulsa County District No 7 east of I-40/I-75 known today as DeSoto County seat DeSoto AFB There are no public schools located within town limits although private schools do exist inside easy reachable neighborhoods such as Overland Park (1 mile), Broken Arrow (5 miles) or Jenks (10 miles). Local citizens have started efforts over recent years towards connecting these dispersed classrooms through various forms of online learning experiences available either through home schooling programs or charter schools while also working towards developing additional public transportation options within easy reachable distance via bike or footpaths accessed via alleyways leading into downtown areas

In 1935, Tulsa County voters approved annexation by Bartlesville; this led to another growth spurt for the small city which reached its peak population size of 2,000 residents in 1939 before declining dramatically in the following decade due to World War II-related decline in oil production and other economic factors. However, by 1950bartlesville's population had rebounded somewhat thanks to migration from surrounding towns and rural areas into its downtown core; however, it still ranked among the poorest communities in Tulsa County according to per capita income stats until 1970s when improvements brought about by successive mayors resulted in Bartlesville becoming one of Tulsas most economically stable communities with median household income above $60,000 (2007). 1) Named after General John Fenton Bartlett - one of America’s foremost Indian warriors - Bartlesvlle postulated its incorporation on January 15th 1907 pursuant to Laws Of The United States v Owen & Others – 7 Wheatley 514 US 552 (1911). Bartlesville was founded in 1867 by John H. Bartles and his father, James Bartles. The town quickly grew into a thriving center for commerce and industry.
