In 2006, the current post office building was built on Lacoma Drive within the boundaries of Bartonville. The new post office features a gift shop, restaurant, hearing impaired access ramp, and more than 10 parking stalls for cars. It is also the first brick building in Bartonville since 1906 which helps commemorate aspects of its history such as its incorporation as a town and prohibition from selling liquor
