When the Oklahoma Territory was created in 1907, there were no firearms laws in place. The only way to obtain a firearm was to purchase one from a licensed gunsmith or import it from Arkansas. In 1911, Bartlesville became the first city in the new territory to have its own police department. The department used handguns and shotguns until 1920 when they switched to rifles and pistols. In 1923, an ordinance was passed that required all citizens over the age of 21 to possess a license to carry a handgun. The following year, Bartlesville became the capital of Oklahoma Territory and began issuing Firearms Licenses for residents. Starting in 1925, Bartlesville began manufacturing its own firearms including revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. This helped keep firearms production within the bounds of legality while still providing quality products at an affordable price point. The early years of serial number production were difficult for historians as few surviving records existed from this time period. However, through research on old photographs and other records available online, it has been possible to piece together some key aspects of firearm t-shirt history in Bartlesville through examination of these materials alone or in combination with other sources such as documentary evidence and contemporary news reports

There are a few different firearm t-shirts that have been made in Bartlesville, Oklahoma over the years. The most well-known and popular shirt is probably the “Bartlesville Cowboy” shirt, which was created in the early 1990s. This shirt features a cowboy hat and an NRA emblem on the front, and it has become one of the region’s most iconic symbols. Another popular t-shirt from this era is the “Pitbull” shirt, which featured a green Pitbull mascot on the front.

Bartonville is a small town in Oklahoma. The population was 6,521 at the 2000 census. It is located in Muskogee County. The town was founded in 1881 by John Bartles and his family. The first post office was established in 1882, and the first store was built in 1886. In 1903, the county seat of Muskogee County was moved to Bartonville from Poteau because of its central location on the main road between Tulsa and Wichita Falls. In 1933, the Works Progress Administration (WPA) built a dam across Arkansas River at Bartlesville to create Lake Okeechobee. The WPA also built a recreation area named after Governor James Fenton which included a campground and fishing lake. On December 1, 1938, Mayor Leland Clements announced that he would not seek re-election because he felt he had been impeded by then-Governor Jimmie Boyd who did not allow him to run for office against two other candidates who were widerly known than Clements. On January 3, 1939, when newly elected Governor Clyde Tolbert made an announcement that he would not seek re-election due to term limits set forth by Congress following the 1930 Census, local citizens raised their voices against Tolbert's decision and organized themselves into what became known as "The Bartlesville League". They successfully campaigned for him to run for re-election and won with over 60% of the vote against only one other candidate who received 24%. After Tolbert's inauguration on January 4th as governor of Oklahoma, he appointed Leland Clements as acting mayor until another election could be held which would succeedClement since Boyd had already died during that time frame. This led to some friction between Clements and Tolbert; however they eventually worked together well after passage of the new state constitution setting termlimits so that future governors must serve two terms instead of four years without seeking reelection (this being done even though this still allowed incumbents such as Tolbert to seek office again).

In the early days of firearms, there were no standardized designs or methods for manufacturing and marketing these devices. This led to a variety of firearm t-shirts being created, some with interesting and innovative designs while others simply bore the legend "Firearm" or "Pistol." The earliest known firearm shirt was created in 1876 by DutchGunsmith Johannes de Valk. The design featured a pistol grip stock with a simple crosshatch pattern on the fabric. It is unclear if this shirt was actually manufactured or if it was made as part of an advertising campaign. In 1886, two years after de Valk's creation, American Rifleman magazine published an article entitled "T-Shirts for Shooting," which included illustrations of various rifle shirts from around the world. One such shirt shown in the article was designed by John Meeks and features a machine gun barrel protruding from one shoulder and inscription " percussion cap revolver." The article also includes photos of various shooting events including matches at fairs and tournaments. Gun manufacturer Colt began producing T-shirts in 1911 under their new trademark Colt Pistol & Revolver Club Shirt brand. These shirts depicted pistols drawn from both civilian production models (such as the Colt Peacemaker) as well as military service models (such as the Colt Subcompact). The first post office in Bartlesville was established in 1907. The current post office was opened on December 3, 1912. In 1922, Bartlesville became an incorporated town. In 1932 it became an independent city again. From 1935 to 1951, Bartlesville was part of Tulsa County. On November 5, 1957 it became its own county seat. It has since been annexed by Tulsa City multiple times. Bartlesville is home to several colleges and universities including: Oral Roberts University; Oklahoma State University - Stillwater; Eastern Nazarene University; Tulsa Community College - Bartlesville Campus; McAuliff School District #2 Central Academy; and Yukon-Holetto School District #1 North Hills Academy (now known as Heritage Christian School). Other local businesses include KFC restaurants and convenience stores as well as two major medical centers – OU Medical Center and Children's Mercy Hospital – both within walking distance of each other. As a result of its rich history and large population size, bartlesVILLE has become one of the most vibrant cities in central Oklahoma!

Bartlesville was founded in 1881 by L.P. Bartlett and named after Lewis P. Bartlett, an early settler. The town developed primarily as a farming community with small businesses serving the local industry until the 1930s when oil production began to increase in the area. The population of Bartlesville peaked at over 20,000 in 1940 but has since declined due to a variety of factors including the cessation of oil production and other economic challenges.
