The Bartlesville Pistol and Rifle Club was formed in 1907. The club revolvers were originally made from “barn door” or other old fashioned materials such as oakum, straw, and wire. The first handguns were also made from Stevens & Wesson pistols or other old caliber guns. In 1911 the Bartlesville Pistol and Rifle Club began to make their own ammunition. Ammunition is still manufactured today by the club using reloadable brass cartridges that are shot out of muzzle Loading shotguns called “Bartlesville Beowulfs”. The Bartlesville Pistol and Rifle Club has a rich history dating back to 1907 when it was founded in this small town in Oklahoma Territory. In 1912, the club began manufacturing rifles with a new type of barrel called a “V-barrel” design which became popular for hunting big game animals like buffalo and deer. This new design allowed the rifle to be shot at a much higher velocity than earlier barrels which gave hunters an advantage over their prey during hunts. In 1915, the Bartlesville Pistol and Rifle Club started making automatic pistols which became very popular for law enforcement officers and military members because they could fire quickly without having to reload their firearms multiple times per minute on long range missions. Automatic pistols are still produced today by the club using remanufactured Brass rounds that are shot out of muzzleloading shotguns called “Bartlesville Beowulfs”

Bartlesville is a city in the Osage Nation reserves of Bartlesville County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 9,611 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area. The city was founded in 1907 by George C. Bartles and named for him after his father, Barton H. Bartles, a judge and Congressman from Louisiana. In 1912, it became the county seat of Bartlesville County and remained so until 1907 when it was moved to Muskogee (now Muskogee). The original town site was located on what is now North Main Street between Second and Third Streets; today's limits stretch from that intersection to West 22nd Street and encompass all or part of five other blocks. East Main Street continues southward as an alley serving as both business district main street and residential thoroughfare dating back to 1907-08 when most of present-day Bartlesville consisted of open prairie with few buildings being erected until development throughout the 1920s began primarily through oil exploration leases in what is now northeast Tulsa suburbs including Uptown/Westmoreland Heights/Chandler Hills which soon became satellite towns surrounding Tulsa while much smaller areas near downtown were annexed into Bartlesville during this time period; north central land east of First Avenue (later called South Broadway) included portions still within present day boundaries but developed largely as manufacturing plants in what are now Chandler Hills/Uptown neighborhoods although some older brick homes still remain on North Main Street within these areas having been built before annexation while others have since been demolished consistent with trends over time toward suburban growth outside major urban centers especially along I-44 corridor where large subdivisions have replaced small villages

Bartlesville is a town in northwestern Oklahoma, United States. The population was 7,437 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Muskogee County, Oklahoma Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town was founded in 1907 by J.D. Bartles and his husband George W. Bartles Sr., two businessmen from Guthrie, Kansas. The first post office opened in 1909 and the name of the town was changed to Bartlesville on May 1, 1912 after J.D.'s brother-in-law William Hinshaw became its first mayor. The city of Tulsa had become too populous for Bartlesville and it merged with Muskogee County in 1915 to form a single municipality with a population of 10,000 residents (the merger creating the current metropolitan area). In 1924 the Tulsa–Muskogee Electric Railway built an electric line through Bartlesville which made it possible for people living in rural areas to access modern amenities such as supermarkets, hospitals, schools and airports without leaving their homes. In 1969 oil production ended at the nearby Anadarko Petroleum Field so there has been no major economic development since then; however some businesses have established themselves including a small hotel/motel complex that opened up in 2006 called "The Lodge" on US 87 near downtown Bartlesville and several restaurants within walking distance of each other like Cherokee Grill & Wings or Hardee's restaurant across US 287 from downtown
Bartlesville was founded in 1907 by J.F. Bartles and his brother-in-law, George W. Ball. The town grew rapidly during the early years of the 20th century, becoming a major center for cotton production in the region. In 1920, Bartlesville became an incorporated city and it maintained this status until 1971 when it merged with nearby Ponca City to form the present day city of Bartlesville.
