However, following Japan's attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7th 1941 ArdMORE saw its biggest growth period yet with people moving into the small town due to its proximity to military bases throughout Oklahoma Territory (the area that includes present day Tulsa) In 1945 when manufacturing ended worldwide following World War II many people decided to move back into smaller towns such as ArdMORE because they no longer had any opportunities for job security outside of their fields of work during peacetime conditions. Many people also left because they found out that there were no jobs available for them once peace returned to Europe after World War II ended without any major victory for either side

In 1919, an oil well were drilled near Ardmore and as production grew so did prices for gasoline which drove many businesses out of business including Hagerty Tire & Rubber Company who sold their assets to J P Morgan III for $1 million dollars. One particular development that took place during this time period that has had a significant impact on ArdMORE is the construction of the Arkansas River Bridge which opened up local access to oil fields outside of town. This event helped give ArdMORE its nickname "The Hub City". Other major events or projects that have occurred during this time include: -the opening of Interstate 40 through town; -the completion of Tulsa World Tower (now known as Quicken Loans Arena); -the construction of Memorial Stadium (now known as AT&T Stadium) which hosted numerous high school football games throughout its years; -the opening of FirstEnergy Stadium (now called NRG Stadium) which housed various professional sports teams including NFL's Texans/Falcons and NHL's Penguins/ Senators; -ardMORE's role within redevelopment efforts around Tulsa – such as being home to Tulsa State University's main campus before it moved to Midtown Tulsa in 2006; -)ardsMORE’s incorporation into OKLAHOMA CITY on November 10th, 2002 forming part ofOKLAHOMA CITY BLUEZONE Landmark Properties LLC.; and
