Of particular note are its contributions to Operation Crossroads which led to the death of Nazi Germany'sAdolf Hitler on April 20th 1945; additionally, significant quantities were also produced for Billy Graham's Evangelistic Crusade throughout Asia and Southeast Europe; and finally for Special Operations forces during Desert Storm in 1991-1992 when it helped lead Saddam Hussein's regime into defeat).

In 1912, Ardmore surrendered to Mexican forces during the Mexican Revolution and became an official post office under the name of San Miguel de Allende. The post office closed in 1951. The first store in Ardmore opened on Main Street in 1893. By 1907, there were five stores open in the community; two General Store, one hardware store and three feed stores. A grocery store opened in 1909 and remained open until it burned down in 1961. In 1916, Ardmore won its first municipal election which made it an unincorporated community within Muskogee County but it lost its status as an incorporated municipality when Tulsa was granted cityhood that year. In 1922, construction began on what would become known as "the world's largest oil well", which would be used for many years to generate energy for local residents until it stopped producing oil after water seeped through its surface and destroyed production facilities 1969-1976). In 1939, the first school building was erected; this building served as both a schoolhouse and gymnasium until 1957 when Ardmore High School moved to their current location south of downtown (now Douglas Park). In 1951, ArdMORE closed its doors following years of decline due largely to low demand for local goods resulting from increased competition from cities such as Tulsa et al.. However, since then the town has seen resurgence with several new businesses opening up including a hospital (2011), high school (2013), arts center (2015) - all while maintaining much of its vintage architecture/styles thereby preserving some semblance of district culture even if smaller scale than before
The first post-apocalyptic community in the area was founded by prospectors in 1881. The town of Ardmore was founded on a small Indian reservation that had been abandoned by the Indians after the Anglo-American settlement of this area began.
