There is no definitive answer to this question, as the history of gun mags in Altus, Oklahoma goes back many years. In fact, there are several different stories about how these devices came to be popular in the area. One story has it that a man named John Wacker began manufacturing them in his shop near the town of Altus in 1903. Another version has it that he started producing them because a local farmer was having trouble finding enough firearms to shoot during World War 1. Eventually, Wacker’s company became well-known throughout the area for their quality magazines. One of the first gun mag companies to come into being was American Magazines, which was founded by George Hinkle in 1907. This company made magazines for both military and civilian use. American Magazines also distributed Gunster magazine products at some point between 1907 and 1912. These were early versions of today’s Glock magazines. In 1911, Browning created their own magazine brand called Browning-Hatchett Magazine Co., Ltd., which would eventually become one of the largest magazine manufacturers in the world. The company produced magazines for both military and civilian use until it merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1922. At that time, Browning-Hatchett Magazine Co., Ltd., became simply Browning Magazine Incorporated (BMI). At around this time, other ammunition manufacturers began making their own magazines as well. Kalashnikov Ammunition entered the market around this time and began producing rifle rounds as well as handgun rounds using depleted uranium projectiles instead of lead or steel balls designed for artillery shells (see photo below). Soon after, other ammo companies followed suit andAltus became known as “The Arsenal of America” due to its large number of ammunition manufactures operating within its boundaries at that particular time!

Altus is a small town in Haskell County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,521 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Tulsa metropolitan area. The townsite was laid out by settlers in 1907 and named for George Armstrong Custer. The first post office in Altus opened on November 3, 1907. At the time, it was located about six miles east of present-day Altus on U.S. Highway 66. In 1911, the Altus post office was moved to its present location and renamed for Alfred P. Altman, Jr., who had campaign contributions from the oil interests in Oklahoma City. In 1927, Altus became one of two separate cities within Tulsa; the other being Jenks. On July 1, 1959, both those cities were merged into Tulsa proper as a result of an act by then-Oklahoma Governor James Buchanan Dole to consolidate city government services throughout the state capital region under a single authority known as "Tulsa City Mayor". In 1988, due to budget cuts within Tulsa City Hall,Altus' mayor resigned effective October 14 after 6 years in office with no end in sight to his term or that of any other mayoral candidates running for re-election during that year's municipal elections which would have allowed him to run unopposed against future budgets set by new city officials should he not be elected again following November 8 general election results that saw himlected over all but one opponent with nearly 67% of all votes cast statewide against only 2 major party candidates (Green Party nominee Roy Barnes received 4% of the total vote). Championed by local businesswoman Anita Bryant and televised nationally on local cable news networks such as KTVX/Channel 11 and WKMG/Channel 12 (the latter station now owns affiliations with CNN), Almquist’s campaign attracted much national attention which helped generate turnout among citizens Double digits percentage wise across most precincts compared to what had been seen during previous mayoral contests where less than 20% turned out Evangelist preacher Pat Robertson won easily defeating incumbent Democrat Darryl Glenn without any major opposition garnering 87%-89% support from residents polled statewide while only Barnes received 4%. Though Almquist eventually conceded defeat hours after polls closed resultant from audits revealed $4 million dollars worth of illegal spending associated with his failed race including federal programs funded through American Recovery and Reinvestment Act - subsequently sentenced to serve 3 years probation – many people still maintain Almquist ran an honest and successful campaign despite some questionable tactics employed

By 1970, however, Altus had begun to decline duemainly because of changes in local demographics that have resulted in more suburban development within its boundaries. Today, Altus remains an important community with strong ties to its past but is also growing increasingly unaffordable for many residents eager for access to modern amenities.
Altus, Oklahoma is the oldest city in the state of Oklahoma. The city was founded on February 14, 1907 by Andrew W. Young and his brother-in-law, Calumet C. Reeves. The city was named for Altus City in Oklahoma County,Oklahoma, which had been abandoned after a tornado destroyed the town in 1894.
