By the 1940s, however, it was clear that the city's population was growing too fast for such limited space available on their main street. In response, the city decided to build a new street which would provide more room for vehicular traffic. As a result, they began to make use of expandable mountings in order to increase access to this new roadway. Ada is a city in Muskogee County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 7,383 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Muskogee County. Ada was founded by settlers in 1881 as a trading post on the Arkansas River. The post was abandoned in 1883 after being destroyed by a flood caused by a Volcano eruption. A new post, named Ada City, was established in 1885 and served as the county seat until 1907 when it moved to Tulsa. In 1911 the capital of Oklahoma moved from Guthrie to Tulsa and the county seat reverted back to Ada. The city became an independent municipality on December 1, 1912 with a population of 4,869. On November 3rd 1908 Ada's first school Superintendent Mrs C F Eaton opened her one-room schoolhouse which became known as "The First School" and later "Oklahoma State Normal High School". This building still stands today near downtown Ada and is used for community events such as weddings and funerals. In 1916 Ada acquired its own water system which served all of Muskogee County except Tulsa which relied upon Tulsa's water system until 1925 when that system went bankrupt due to World War I budget limitations. In 1919 Ada voters passed an ordinance providing for annexation of neighboring townships including Elk City (now part of Tulsa) because they felt that Elk City did not provide their citizens with enough services such as schools or garbage collection; this annexation led to increased political tensions between the two cities until 1990 when both cities merged into one city under the name "Ada", OK

The company was awarded a $10 million contract in 2009 to provide a new family of expandable mount systems for fighter jets and other military vehicles. Ada, Oklahoma is a town located in Noble County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,953 at the 2010 census. Ada is named after Ada Colfax, an American suffragist and women's rights advocate. Ada was founded in 1881 by Judge James D. Weaver and other early settlers as a trading post on the banks of the Arkansas River. It became a municipality in 1907 and again in 1912. In 1938 it merged with Muskogee to form Muskogee-Ada Combined Municipal District #2. On January 3, 2009, Ada-Muskogee combined municipalities were dissolved to create Noble County as its new local government structure. The history of Ada begins with Judge James D. Weaver who settled in Noble County in 1881 along the Arkansas River while also serving as county judge from 1880-1881 and 1892-1893. He was instrumental in founding the town of Ada which would later become a municipality on April 10th 1907 when he and others petitioned for incorporation papers due to changes taking place within Noble County including an increase of female voters from 2% to 5%. The merger was ratified by the NobleCounty Board of Commissioners on December 4th 1912 making Adanowa one of only two towns ever incorporated into Noble County (the other being Overholt). The first mayor of this new municipality was Wm Henson with Mayor Harry Weems acting as deputy mayor until 1908 when both men left for personal reasons leaving behind Mayor John Witherspoon who served until 1920 when he too left office followed by First Deputy Mayor Fenton Parkinson who served until 1938 when the merged municipalities formed Muskogee-Ada Combined Municipal District #2 which lasted until 1959 when it was dissolved due to consolidated government size issues among severalOklahoma counties resulting in Noble Countys establishment of its own local government structure known today as OKC City Limits
