In 1795, Nicholas-Jacques Conte designed a pair of binoculars that could be used side-by-side so that both users could see what was happening at the same time. This innovation allowed soldiers or sailors to observe enemy vessels from a great distance without having to enter into melee close combat. These early models also featured an adjustable focus system so that different objects could be seen clearly at different distances. In 1836, Augustus Saint-Gaudens designed the first practical telescope using photographic glass instead of lenses made from metal or wood! This invention allowed people to study stars up close for the first time and helped improve understanding of astronomy which had been difficult before. Soon after, other inventors began creating telescopes with various design features including two eyepieces on one end (the Kapp Telescope), multiple objectives (George Foucault's Fizeaux Telescope), and even instruments specifically built for astronomical use such as astrographs (such as Samuel Morse's Marconi Astrograph). With advances in technology comes increased accuracy and detail which makes observing nature more enjoyable than ever before!

Ada was founded in 1868 as a post office and trading center on the Kansas River. The town quickly became a center of education, Commerce, and industry. In 1907 Ada was named the capital of Oklahoma Territory. In 1968 Ada was incorporated as a city and currently has a population of over sixty thousand people. Ada's history is intertwined with that of its namesake, Ada County,Oklahoma. The county was organized in 1867 from parts of Osage and Shawnee Counties. It encompassed present-day Haskell County (west side), Admiraal County (east side), Creek County (southwest corner), and part of Muskegon County (northwest corner). Today, only Haskell and Creek counties remain within Ada County while Muskegon has been split into Oakland Township in east central Michigan and Macomb Township in westcentral Michigan. The first settlers to what is now Ada were two families who started out traveling down the Arkansas River by wagon train in 1868: the Youngs and the Fraziers. They arrived at what is now Lawton on November 12th that year after making their way across Nebraska via Rapid City campgrounds they had discovered while exploring Indian country near Dodge City. In 1870 another group led by Isaac Sitton moved upriver from Council Bluffs to join them; this group included seven women pioneer children known as the "Seven Sisters." Over time more families joined them - many coming direct from Illinois or other states where land had been given to them for settlement along the Kansas River corridor including what is now Wichita Falls, Texas; Topeka, Kansas; Manhattan Beach, California; or even Nazi Germany! The early days were difficult for these new arrivals as there were no hotels or food available aside from emergency rations brought over by boatloads during winter months when there wasn't much water left upstream from the recent battles between Ulysses S Grant's forces against General Houston at Palo Alto Bridgehead but also against Native American warriors at Wounded Knee Ridge which severed much southern Sioux territory necessary for cattle drives needed to supply Fort Riley with meat(and later munitions) during that strategic campaign years earlier! Today we can enjoy some excellent restaurants such as White’s BBQ & Grill located just outside our city limits close to I-40/ US 60 exit 172nd Street south on Rte 377 where you can order any kind of chicken or steak sandwich you please without ever having anything delivered to your door! Surrounding this great restaurant are several convenience stores stocked with everything you could possibly need including gasoline, tires, clothing sizes etc... plus 7 grocery stores all within walking distance!!! Noteworthy too are 3 bars which offer extensive beer selections both local & national including microbrews made here in town PLUS KOHAWKA Lager Staging Cellar which offers an extensive wine selection!!!!!! What more could you want?
