In 1868, another scientist named George Stephenson developed the first practical steam engine with a capacity of 2 horsepower that could be used for navigation. This led to the development of railways and locomotives which were then able to carry goods and passengers over long distances. The invention of the automobile in 1903 also led to increased demand for binoculars as motorists began using them for visibility at night. By 1920,binoculars had become so popular that they were being sold both online and offline. Currently, binoculars are still being used by many people all over the world for their various purposes such as sightseeing, hunting, fishing, and other outdoor activities.

Zanesville is named after George Washington Zane, who died in 1809 and was buried there. The town began as an agricultural communityHelper's Mill on the Scioto River near present-day Zanesville. In 1824, General Simon Cameron founded the discovery mill here that would become one of America's leading industries for many years. The Cass & Erie Railroad reached Zanesville in 1868 and soon became a major factor in its growth; it contributed $1 million to the local economy by 1880. In 1902, George W. Stephenson built the first electric powered locomotivehere at what is now Depot Square; this event helped spur development around Depot Square and led to increased commerce in the area which eventually created more jobs than ever before! Today, many businesses within walking distance of depot square still operate thanks to this early investment by developers! The current downtown core of Zanesville was formally developed between 1909 and 1924 when landfill was constructed on top of an old military post that had been abandoned since 1800s! This gave rise to what is now called "District Row" – a cluster of buildings clustered around First NationalBank (now HSBC) along High Street – giving birth to one of America’s earliest commercial districts! Zanesville has seen some significant redevelopment during its history including: Overcoming Heights Neighborhood Development Corporation - A non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing over 100 acres adjacent to First National Bank across from Depot Square – brought new life and vibrancy back into this area with plans for retail, office space, public art installations and more; restoration work on First National Bank started in late 2016 continues today with final touches being made inside and out including dramatic new facade treatment complete with exposed brick elements depicting Indian Chief symbolism; also visible are extensive exterior repairs/ renovations throughout entire building resulting in return of much needed character lost during previous incarnations

Zanesville, Ohio is a city in northern Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 19,859 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown metropolitan area. The land straddling the border of Zanesville and unincorporated Clearfield Township was first settled by Indian traders in 1795. The town was laid out in 1802 by John Zanes and named for him. By 1825, it had an estimated population of 100 people but declined due to epidemics of smallpox and yellow fever among its citizens. A fire destroyed most of the downtown business district in 1865; however, new businesses were built quickly to replace those lost. A cotton gin was established in 1867 and became one of the largest textile mills in America; it closed in 1980. In 1888, Zanesville became a city with its own police department when it merged with neighboring Clearfield Township; both cities continued to operate as separate municipalities until 1993 when they were consolidated into one unit under a single mayor/council system with each municipality having two councillors per ward. In 1903-04, Zanesville experienced its first tornado outbreak on April 20th which caused damage to several homes and killed four people across three townships within his city limits- Clearfield Township (to the east), Obion Township (to the north), and Washington Township (to the west). This event ranks as one of the deadliest tornadoes on record in Ohio and remains historically significant within that state’s Tornado Alley region today because it demonstrated how devastating Tornadoes can be even though they are typically more sporadic occurrences statewide! On September 5th 1904 another powerful tornado touched down just outside of town damaging multiple homes before dissipating about five miles south east near Bellefontaine Mills airport destroying over thirty buildings including six churches! Overall this represented some pretty severe destruction within what would become known as Tornado Alley- although this particular outbreak did not ultimately lead to any fatalities however many lives were changed forever due to these terrible events! 1) November 10th 1906 – One day after Thanksgiving evening an EF2 tornado path crossed portions of Obion township from north to south resulting in extensive damage including: roofing being ripped off homes entire frames tree limbs snapped power lines knocked out water systems stopped working telephone poles toppled streetlights etc….this storm produced some really large hailstones measuring up at nearly 6 inches across that turned everything inside out leaving behind deep cuts & lacerations along with smashed windows! 2) April 13th 1907 – Another major destructive tornado struck parts unknown western Clearfield Twp., devastating dwellings & cropskilling 4 people & severely injuring 30+ others…..this time there was very minor damage reported with only uprooted trees & broken fencing found throughout? 3) October 16th 1911 – A category 5 storm impacted southeastern Obion township killing 3 females who had been enjoying picnics outdoors while their husbands drove them home….the strongest wind gust ever recorded measured at 206 mph!! just like all those other disasters mentioned earlier this storm devastated whole neighborhoods leaving vast areas covered with overturned furniture (& branches everywhere!), wrecked cars (& all sorts ol’ debris), structures completely demolished…..damage value reported at $100 million!!! 4) March 14th 1912 – A similar funnel cloud appears over clearfieldsparkle Rd NE shortly before midnight causing widespread panic amongst residents Various injuries occurred such as: cutlasses flying through air headsitting on roofs automobiles spinning around titles flipping off bridges toppling trees etc………just imagine if that thing had hit your house!!!! What a mess……… 5) November 25th 1913 - An EF5 tornado touched down just outside town damaging numerous homes before dissipating just southeast of town….this storm caused catastrophic loss particularly throughout Obion Twp where almost every structure was destroyed or seriously damaged including schools churches & hospitals?!
