Through these years, there have been several attempts at reform when it comes to gun security in Xenia. In 2006, the City Council created a task force which aimed to improve gun safety and reduce crime rates in the town. Xenia is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio, located on the Scioto River just north of Cincinnati and east of Dayton. Xenia was founded in 1853 as a result of an agreement between The Cincinnati Post and The Xenia Gazette to share newsprint space. It is the most populous city in Lucas County and has a population of 62,816 as of the 2010 census. Xenia became one of the fastest-growing large cities in the United States after its annexation by Dayton in 2000. The area that would become Xenia was first settled by Native Americans beginning in 1795. The first European to visit what is now Xenia was George Washington on his way from Philadelphia to Kenmore falls on November 8, 1797. Hepointed out a small village situated on high ground near where Xenia now stands and called it Ephrata ( pronounced "eh-frah-tuh"). A man named Nicholas Morrell purchased land at what is now Main Street for $10 per acre (4¢ per sq ft). The first house built there was erected by Morrell's son John on December 12, 1800. At that time, only about 100 people lived hereabouts; however, over time this community grew rapidly with many families coming here from nearby villages such as Gahanna, West Chesterfield Township and East Liverpool Township for work during the Revolutionary War era when much OFC manufacturing took place nearby including artillery production at Parma Fort along Withrow Creek which later became part of Fairborn Municipal Corporation In 1802 Timothy Henty arrived from Maryland with his family seeking new land west ofCVIL2.. They surveyed 3 square miles (8 km2) within present day downtown Xenia limits and bought it for $10 per acre (4¢ per sq ft). In October 1803 Henty laid out streets northeast from Old Main which are still in use today including Second Street running parallel to Main Street until it reaches East Hanna Avenue where it turns southward again then becomes West Hanna Avenue before terminating at First Street which runs east-west through downtown today On July 10th 1804 James Dennison donated 640 acres northwest corner township line with Scioto River & Wabash Canal road lot to settler George White who named it White Castle after himself On October 6th 1830 David Ritchie donation included 100 acres SW side Monongahela River bed lots extending NW corner township line thence SE along CR&W RR tracks 2 miles to intersection with CSX Railroad track General Ritchie family continued farming there continuing until circa 1870s When they sold their holdings back home

Xenia, Ohio (pronounced "YEN-uh") is a town in the Ottawa County, Ohio Department of Local Government region. The population was 3,819 at the 2010 census. Xenia is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH metropolitan area. The Xenia post office closed on December 15, 2009. The first settler in Xenia was James Hutton who arrived in 1811 and named it after his father's estate in Scotland. In 1812 John Morse moved to Xenia from Delaware Township and started a gristmill there. In 1830 Zenas Dixon added land to the town and it became known as “Dixonville” because of him. In 1836 David Waddell platted what is now downtown Xenia and named it after his sister Ezella Waddell Whitehead who had married him that year in Chillicothe, Ohio. Mr. Whitehead served as xenial justice of the peace for much of this time until he died suddenly in 1859 at age 70 years old naturalized United States citizen . Mrs. Whitehead continued to live here until her death in 1865 when her husband donated this property to the town for use as a public square which remains today as one of its main arteries with an extensive parkland surrounding it . The important early days were also marked by William Linnett coming here from Bedfordshire England as part of a group led by Colonel Nicholas Wright with General Harrison providing muscle on their short journey across America starting back on July 4th 1775 where they sacked Boston Gas House before moving on upriver to Yorktown Bridge . After that day Denny Sayer who came overland from Enfield ended up living here for 22 years or so becoming one of our most prominent citizens along with many others during those years including four Governors General during that time periodvirtually every county seat had at least 1 resident worth $10 million or more while only two out of 10 residents lived below poverty line either owning no land or renting .. XENIA TODAY: Over $140Billion dollars has been generated thru economic activity within our community alone!!!!!
