The history of airguns in Xenia goes back to the early 1900s when a group of boys from Xenia shot baskets at a local park. These boys were the first people to shoot guns in Xenia. By 1930, all pistols with gas operated shotguns had become common within the United States Armed Forces services. In response to this rapid growth in firearms popularity, Smith & Wesson developed their own version of the 1911 pistol grip shotgun known as the .45 Colt Pistol Grip Shotgun. The .45 Colt Pistol Grip Shotgun featured an improved design over its predecessor which made it easier for shooters to hold onto their firearm while firing projectiles through a barrel long enough to create a harmless wound. In 1935, Smith & Wesson introduced their first centerfire rifle known as the Model 3 (.30-06 Springfield) which became one of America’s most successful rifles ever produced (it remains one of favorites amongst recreational shooters today). Throughout these years, some manufacturers continued developing new types of handguns that were able to fire projectiles through barrels that were much shorter than what was possible with pistols or shotguns (known as autoloading firearms). One such company that manufactured autoloading handguns is Samco Firearms Company Ltd., which was founded in 1938 by Harold Smeaton Jr.. After World War II ended and ammunition prices decreased, Samco Firearms Company Ltd.] began producing handgun rounds known as soft points (.22LR) which helped increase sales for their products (including Air Guns). The city has been through several cycles of economic development since its incorporation, most notably during the 1920s when it experienced significant agricultural production thanks to then-new technology for corn oil production based on cobs that had been dried out by the summer weather conditions in central Ohio; however, xenialonization also led to increased commercial development during this time period which caused some problems for City Council members who were then forced to deal with high levels of traffic congestion due to heavy commercial development near their homes and businesses - these issues finally resolved themselves during the late 1960s or early 1970s when Mayor Tom Barrett began working closely with a newly formed urban planning organization called The City Project which aimed at creating comprehensive zoning plans for all areas within downtown Xaniea which resulted in decreased traffic congestion as well as greater shopping opportunities nearby while still preserving much of historic xenialonian character including many large old brick buildings from previous periods such as Dickey's Storehouse built between 1830-1834 and now home to various restaurants, gift shops etc.; furthermore, new infrastructure projects such as streetscaping along Euclid Avenue addedFurther convenience store chains (Gordy's Pizza & Burger King), major truck stop developments (Canton Gas Station/Superstation), strip mall conversions (Kmart/Walmart) have continued throughout recent years but overall there has been little change in total distributional patterns relative to pre-1997 levels so that although there are more people living close by today than before 1997 some aspects remain relatively unchanged

Xenia is a community in the rural township of Xenia, Hardin County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,890 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton–Muncie Combined Statistical Area. The Xenia post office was established in 1892, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1951. The first settler in Xenia was John Capps who arrived on July 24, 1892. Capps built a log cabin on what is now called "Capps Hill." In 1896, Fannie Muhlenkamp settled near Xenia and opened a general store which became known as the "Muhlenkamp Store." Mrs. Muhlenkamp also raised chickens and pigs for her family. In 1912, she sold her interest in the store to Wm. Hickey and his wife Emma which continued to be run by them until 1922 when they moved to Mansfield where they founded the present day Hickey's grocery store there. In 1923-24 Jesse Owens attended Xenia High School where he played football for the school's one year varsity team before transferring to Mansfield High School where he played through 1926 and 1927 (the only season that Xenia fielded a varsity football team). After graduation from high school Owens enrolled at Fordham University but did not play college football because he had no scholarship offersfrom major universities because he was white; however he did receive an offer from DePaul University which would have allowed him to continue playing professional baseball after graduate school if he had chosen to do so (he decided not To pursue this opportunity). It wasn't until 1933 that xenialandson Julius Erving reached America after being sent by Major League Baseball (MLB) president Christy Mathewson as part of Operation Crossroads with instructions to scout new talent for MLB's newly formed American Negro League (AAL) teams; Erving eventually signed with Newark Eagles of the AAL during its inaugural season (1933). Erving would go on to win five MVP Awards and three batting titles for MLB during his career including one World Series Champion title with Philadelphia Athletics in 1957 while playing for Baltimore Orioles under manager Connie Mack
