Wooster is a small town in the United States located in the Greater Cleveland area. The population was 15,859 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Lakewood, Ohio Metropolitan Statistical Area. Wooster is home to two high schools, Wooster Senior High School and Wooster Intermediate School. The first settlers in what is now Wooster came from New England in 1698. They were farmers and their families moved to the township from parts of Stark County, Ohio during Reconstruction following the American Civil War. On December 12, 1810, John Crouch bought of land in present-day Wooster Township from Jason Tompkins for $50USD. This was one of several purchases by Crouch during his career as a land agent and banker in central Ohio. In 1811 he sold additional property including a grant of right to build a bridge over Great Miami River on his lot which became known as Bridge Street today). Families began moving into present-day Wooster Township starting with those who settled around 1790 near what are now Clintonville and North Olmsted Streets; these early residents included members of both branches of the Adams family who had immigrated from Connecticut Colony (the first permanent English settlement in North America) under Capt. John Adams on December 24, 1688: Samuel Adams (1727-1812), AbijahAdams (1730-1806), Timothy Adams (1736-1815), Isaac Adams (1740-1825), Nicholas Bascome(c1685-1752) and Caleb Bascome(1686?-1760)? In 1810 there were just 10 households living within its borders; by 1830 there were 375 residents! In 1824 Daniel Granger purchased about northwest corner lot #4 for $5USD that formed part of what would become South Park Place today). He may have been influenced by General George Washington's Farewell Address which called for an open door policy toward immigrants because they might be "sulky" or "unsociable." At this time many new immigrants were coming through Steubenville via Erie Canal which connected Cleveland with Buffalo/Niagara Falls then traveled upriver until reaching Lake Erie where they could disembark and start their journey northward anew: Abraham Lincoln eventually said that this canal system played a role "in giving jobs to thousands upon thousands" while also contributing to overall Americanization process! Granger's purchase marked an important point not only because it represented growth but also because it allowed white farmers access to cheap real estate east of downtown Cleveland – something no other group could do without permission from local officials! It wasn't until 1840 when Joel Parkinson acquired , extending south along State Road 7 about three miles long betweenpresent day East Liverpool Avenue & West Side Highway just west of today's campus boundary at White Oak Drive that another major development took place withinWooster Township -today's village center underwent its first phaseof construction when Drury Inn/Grigoriev’s general store opened its doors on October 26th [date unknown] …Drury Inn later became known as “The Green Gables” restaurant where numerous locals such as postal clerks frequented throughout their years serving our community……… Today we enjoy beautiful views across White Oak Drive towards Stroudsburg University

Wooster, Ohio is a small town in the northwestern corner of Ohio and is part of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. The population was 17,514 as of 2010. Wooster was founded in 1814 by John Wooster and his family. The original home of the Wooster family still stands today on Elm Street in the town center. Wooster has a rich history that dates back over 120 years. In 1814, John Wooster founded the community of Wooster in what is now northwest Ohio to provide a temporary place for people who had followed Captain James Kapp's march from Kentucky to find new homes in Northwest Territory. The first settler atwooseroad was Isaac Morse, who arrived in 1815. The early days atwooseroad were hard times for both woosters and their families; however, they persevered and soon achieved success with their farmsteading and trading businesses. By 1840, they had built three churches: one on Elm Street (present-day Town Hall), one on High Street (present-day Main Street), and one on Washington Avenue (present-day Wright Avenue). In 1846, while living near Lima, Ohio, George Armstrong Custer received news that General Ulysses S. Grant was marching southward through central Ohio towards Vicksburg with an army headed by General William Taney as its objective. Custer decided to move his command northeastward towards Chillicothe so that it could intercept Grant if he reached that location first. He ordered his men to start moving out at nightfall on November 4th but only two miles from where they were supposed to rendezvous with other forces thereabouts did not exist any water available so horseback riders had to walk the rest of the way! This event forever changed wooster’s reputation as “the watering hole for Indians” – until such time as a local reservoir became available nearby! In 1865 when Perry County was organized into fifteen judicial districts under territorial jurisdiction within newly created Shelby County, Wooster residents supported Judge James Wickersham during his successful campaign against incumbent Judge Thomas Paine despite personal animosity between these men due to differences over law practice matters which led directly to physical altercation between them outside Wickersham’s courtroom several times! Despite this public opposition/rallying against Wickersham by some citizens following our judge’s victory—a common occurrence throughout much of prewar America—Wickersham ultimately served out his term without interruption until retirement effective July 1st 1870 pursuant to section 5 Of The Revised Statutes Of Indiana On Judicial Service In Indiana Which At That Time Said: “No person holding any office of profit or trust… shall be appointed To serve upon any case pending before Such District Court Without Being A Citizen thereof…. No person So appointed Shall receive Compensation For His Services therein; But If He Be resident And Practising Law In proper Form Within Such District Court Thereupon He Shall Receive Compensation For His Services Thereunder…. Any Citizen Who voluntarily provides Information tending To incriminate himself thereby may be arrested And Imprisoned Without warrant or process And Brought beforeSuch District Court After giving Notice To Such Person Of Our Intent To Prosecute Him….Any citizen Who knowingly offers False Information relating To An Issue Assessed By This District Court Shall Be Prosecuted As defined In Section One Hundred Twenty Eight Of Title Four hundred fifty nine Of The Revised Statutes Of Indiana." Wooster residents successfully opposed Wickerham's appointment as judge despite intense personal animosity between themselves & JPW
