During this time frame, Hennepin & Co.'s products included both muzzleloaders and rifle barrels of various designs including Sharps Rifle Bores (1810), Target Rifle Bores (1812), Monitor Rifle Bores (1814), .222 caliber rifles (1816), .25 caliber rifles (1820), shotguns (1822/23), pistols ( 1830/31) and revolvers ( 1835). In 1836, Hennepin & Co.'s operations came to an end when its assets were taken over by David Davis’ new company Lewis & Clark Arms Company Limited. Lewis & Clark Arms Company Limited continued manufacturing firearms until 1906 when it merged with Winchester Repeating Arms Company Limited to form Winchester Repeating Arms CorporationLimited1). At this pointgun barrel production resumed at Winchester Repeating Arms Corporation Limited under the direction of their product specialists who had formerly worked at Hennepin &Co.. From then on gun barrel production took place at two plants; one located in Pottersville, PA and the other located in Gaylord, MI2). Both plant produced cartridges for handguns as well as rifles3). Gun barrels continue to be produced commercially today under several different brand names4).

By 1840, it had become an agricultural center with around 100 farms and 1,000 head of livestock;[2] but growth slowed during the 19th century as transportation improved and woollen mills closed.[3][4] In 1881, local residents adopted a charter that united their eight villages into one town under a single governance structure known as the "Township Court" system,[5] although significant seceding did occur thereafter until 1925 when all but two villages were consolidated intoWooster Township (the exceptions being Canfield and Sharon Village).[6][7] In 1924, Wooster became farmland base for General Motors Corporation's Research Park;[8][9][10] subsequent expansions have led to its current population near 3,000 people and over 100 businesses including two hospitals and one university campus providing education from kindergarten through college level.
