Ammunition has a long and varied history in Whitehall, Ohio. The first ammunition was shot off the cannons of Fort Mahoning on May 25, 1797. Ammunition began being manufactured in the township by 1815. The town of Whitehall became an arsenal in 1829 and production increased until 1865 when it stopped because of the American Civil War. In 1865, ammo production recommenced at Fort Knox because of increasing demand from the Union army. Continuous production continued until1972 when it was discontinued due to budget cuts within the United States government. Ammunition manufacturing resumed in 1987 but ended again in 1992 due to budget cuts within the United States government once again. Today, Ammo Outfitters Inc., a subsidiary of ATK Corporation manufactures rounds for both personal use and law enforcement use throughout central Ohio.

Whitehall is a small town in Muskingum County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,640 at the 2010 census. The Main Street of Whitehall is named for General John Forbes, who fought in the American Revolution and later served as president of the United States from 1789 to 1793. Whitehall's name comes from two early settlers: James White Hall and his family arrived in 1792 from Virginia. They farmed land on what is now East Green Street and built a log cabin that still stands today. In 1814, white men prospected for gold near present-day Whitehall and discovered rich veins of silver ore. This led to the founding of Silver Hill Mines, one of America's most successful mining towns during its early years. The townspeople quickly began developing businesses around their mines and mills; many continue to operate today including farms, retail stores, churches, schools and other services. Today's downtown area has several large commercial buildings as well as a number of smaller shops and restaurants along Main Street. In 1825 the General Assembly created Muskingum County by splitting off Muskingum Township from Kent County; Whitehall became one of its first county seats. By 1830 the population had reached 2,000 people with over 100 merchants and businesses operating in what was then an agricultural society dominated by cornstalks raised by tenant farmers. After being abandoned during the great Depression because of lack of resources (the area had been hit hard by crop failures), Whitehall regained some vitality beginning in the late 1940s when new residents moved into town after finding jobs on nearby military bases or within commuting distance for work at local Steelhead Mills or Goodyear Tire & Rubber plants located eastward across I-71 from Whitewater Mills on Lake Erie Boulevard (now US Route 422). Many current residents were born here or have adopted it as their home over time - making it one of Ohio’s most interactive communities inhabited largely by people who care about each other rather than just Their Place

After his inauguration, Jackson began to modernize government in America with his aggressive policies such as creating roads and highways and calling for more railroads. These policies led to increased competition among small towns across America which caused many to leave their homes for new opportunities elsewhere. During this time period, Whitehall experienced significant economic growth due to its location on the bank of the Scioto River which made it an ideal place to do business with other towns along the river. Additionally, white Anglo-Saxon pioneers arrived in what is now Whitehall during this time period looking for land where they could build plantations that would provide them with wealth and power throughout American society. This migration led to increased interactions between different racial groups within American society which helped form what is known today as Americana culture Throughout these years there were also attempts by local officials to overcome racism within their communities through programs such as education initiatives or social welfare programs However, these efforts often failed due largely to resistance from some members of local white households who saw these measures as weakness rather than strengths given their own position within American society
Whitehall, Ohio was founded in 1811 when the township of Whitehall and the village of Cleveland were merged. The town was named for General George Washington who was visiting the area at the time. The first settler in Whitehall was John Goodspeed.
