Westlake is an unincorporated community in Richland County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,023 at the 2010 census. It lies east of the city of Cincinnati and west of the town of Westville. Westlake was founded by German immigrants in 1825 as a small settlement on the Scioto River. When the area became part of Hamilton Township in 1837, it remained unnamed for another decade. The name "Westlake" was chosen because its location on high ground made it conspicuous from other settlements around the river. In 1851, a post office was established at Westlake and several years later (1857), a school opened there. By 1870, however, only two homes were still standing in Westlake; most of the settlers had moved away during that period. In 1875, David Jahn decided to move his family from Cincinnati to what is now Westville because he found it more affordable there than in Hamilton Township where he had been living since childhood. He named his new village after his then-father-in-law's home country – Switzerland – but no one has found evidence that Swiss immigrants ever lived in or near Westlake except for occasional visitors who may have brought souvenirs back with them from their travels. The first store built in Westlake was operated by John Knight and partners when they opened their business on Main Street in 1876. After few years, this business closed down due to lack of customers and competition from larger stores opening up along nearby streets such as Sixth Avenue or Vine Street which led to increased traffic on main roads leading into town during those days. A millinery shop operated next door to Knight’s store until 1886 when it too closed due to low sales volumes despite being located close to an important railroad station which attracted commuters commuting into Cincinnati en route for work or pleasure functions downtown during those days In 1897–98, Wm Hagedorn ran a grocery store next door to his father’s lumberyard before moving out across Sixth Avenue into his own establishment which continued operations until 1912 when he sold all assets including farmland north of Sixteenth Street and turned over control of the business to his son Harry Hagedorn Jr., who operated it under different names until 1951 when he retired . Today only traces remain left behind from that early era including some broken window glass from inside an old storage building currently used as part of Heritage Academy's library renovation project . Despite this short history however, unique aspects about that time still survive like menu cards preserved inside original cans from hams born prior thereto stored inside cooperage warehouse formerly occupied by winery & Grocery Co.; receipts dating back to 1902 show purchase price for $4 lb ham pastured outside retail setting

This laser was made up of two mirrors joined together and had an incredibly high power rating for its time. It could shoot out a beam of light that was almost 6 feet long! In 1814, Charles-François Besson developed a new type of gun Laser called “Besson” which used an electric discharge instead of hot air balloons to aim its beam. This laser was much more powerful and accurate than any other previous Gun Lasers on the market! But although Besson’s Laser had great potential, it never became widely available due to its expensive construction and lack of range. However, his achievement is still highly respected today!

Westlake is a small town in Mahoning County, Ohio, United States. The population was 2,715 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Akron–Canton–Summit, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Westlake was founded in 1824 as a Methacton Township by General Israel Putnam and his wife Sarah. The community became a village in 1869. The township was taken over by Mahoning County in 1912. The village became an incorporated town on June 6, 1916. On November 3, 1922, the townships of Methacton and Winchester were merged into Westlake to form one municipality with a total population of 4,848. On July 1, 1924, the township of Kirtland was merged into Westlake to form another municipality with a total population of 5,748. On February 10, 1933 (due to annexation by Summit), Westlake became the first municipality in Summit County to outlaw liquor sales within its borders; this prohibition lasted until December 16 that year when it was repealed by the Ohio General Assembly due to public pressure from residents within its boundaries who felt their own communities could prosper without such prohibitionism. In 1941-42 WKOH radio station aired "The Voice Of Cleveland", which originated from Euclid Heights Church on North Shore Drive in Cleveland and then moved to WKOH's current building on High Street just north of downtown after Electra Goldsmith donated land for the station's construction and weekly programming began on October 15th 1941 originally airing at 7:00pm weekdays broadcasting various religious programs including Bible readings followed by moral teachings from Pastor Rufus Nogleman before wrapping up at 10pm each night during those early days with music provided by local bands popularly known as "The Browns". On February 22nd 1942 WKOH aired "Apostles In Action" or simply called "AAPL" which chronicled life inside Sts Peter &Paul Catholic Church located at 222 Elmwood Ave NW following mass services everyday throughout World War II ran for nearly three years starting September 12th 1941 initially lasting for almost two hours every morning lasting until lunchtime before changing times daily alternating between English language services led by Father John McCloskey followed immediately afterwards by Spanish language service led by Father Manuel Gomez all day long except Sunday mornings when English Language Mass would start immediately after Spanish Mass ended while also providing food and drink available for purchase both inside and outsideChurch giving many people an opportunity please stop violence against any other faith or you will be judgmentulily punished both physically AND mentally under law while also offering spiritual comfort & solace through confession & prayer being open 24/7... later becoming known as simply 'WKOH'
Westlake was founded in 1795 by Major General George Washington as a military post on the Scioto River. The town grew rapidly, and in 1802 it became the seat of government for Summit County. In 1825, Westlake was renamed Lima after Ohio's first governor, James K. Polk. It was through Lima that President Ulysses S. Grant traveled to distant points in the Midwest during his 1868–1869 trip across America. In 1915, Westlake merged with neighboring towns of Uniontown and Lucasville to form the city of Cleveland.
