Additionally, manufacturing giant Caterpillar had their original headquarters here before moving downtown to replace their plant at nearby Over-the-Rhine in 2009 following several fatal accidents there involving workers who fell asleep during shifts. In recent decades much of what made Westlake such an important commercial center have disappeared or been replaced by larger venues such as Walmart or Sears Roebuck & Co., but some key aspects remain such as dozens of small businesses located along Center Street which provide jobs for locals as well as tourists visiting the area during non-peak hours or on special occasions like Fourth Of July fireworks displays or farmers' markets open late summer months. There are also several restaurants dotting Center Street including Subway sandwich shops and Italianate style eateries like Olive Garden and Benares; these days however most large restaurants have moved away from downtown towards new developments near I-675/Monument Drive which now features high end shopping malls with multiplexes
