Reports of firearms being used in shootings in Westerville, Ohio date back to at least the 1840s. In 1851, local settler J.D. Stevenson shot and killed a man who had been trespassing on his land. The following year, another shooting took place when a group of men came into conflict with a group of women near the local post office. One woman was shot and killed; her killer was never apprehended. In 1854, three young men were playing around on a farm when one of them got hold of an airgun and started firing it off. Due to its location along Route 9 south of Dayton Airport and easy access to transportation via Interstate 70/Ulysses S Grant Boulevard as well as abundant natural resources such as coal seams and waterfalls around Cincinnati-Sandusky Bayou region, Gwinnett County attracted numerous businesses seeking low- taxes environments with ample room for expansion throughout central Ohio during the late 1800s and early 1900s. These businesses led tothe growth ofDormont Township which embraced most aspects associated with downtown Cincinnati including a large commercial district anchored by two banks - First National Bank & Trust Company and Huntington National Bank - major retail stores such as JCPenney", Sears", Macy's"and Woolworth's", plus many small shops catering to farmers markets or individual consumers alike; churches such as First Baptist Church"and St John's Episcopal church ", libraries such as Cleveland Heights public library"and Euclid Heights public library ", professional services including law firms "(Cleveland Heights Law Firm)", accounting firms "( establishments like Wackerstein Procter LLP)", insurance companies "( Farmers Insurance Company)", real estate developers"( developers like George Pappas )," while still remaining largely agricultural with homes being built primarily for eastern European Americans working on Long Island Sound or along Lake Erie; some notable natives include mayors Tom Menzies(Buffalo Grove) , Charlie Norris( Xenia )and Rick Simpson( Whitehall ). Banks first developed into significant employers in Westervil due to their roots dating back over 150 years prior in downtown Cincinnati where both First National Bank & Trust Company"an old national bank which had originated from Downtown Cincinnati""AND Huntington National Bankwere among the first local business organizations chartered." Eventually these institutions merged becoming known simply as "First National". In 1956 both banks failed resulting in widespread Panic Banking across America leaving many families struggling without their jobs or savings accounts just days before Christmas . This event is generally considered one of the largest economic crashes in American history . At approximately this point Lambert Hennigan moved his company from Scranton PA called Hennigan Paper Productsincorporatedto Greensburg PA because they could no longer survive beside their competitors steel mills closing all over Pennsylvania during those hard times ."Hennigan Paper Productswas finally reorganized intoHPGroup plcin 2002.""This particular merger represented a turning point for HPPlc.,identifying itself thenasa global player based outof Coventry Englandrather than narrowly focused upon paper products."
