West Carrollton City, Ohio is a small town in the northern part of the state of Ohio. The population was 1,591 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cincinnati-Middletown-Wilmington, OH-KY Metropolitan Statistical Area. West Carrollton City was founded in 1827 by Methodists and Lutherans living in what is now southern Hamilton County. The first post office was established in 1829. The present town was laid out in 1879 by John A. West and named for him as well as for his father, who had also been named John A. West. The community started off as a small farming community with only about 25 residents when it annexed neighboring unincorporated communities of Moreland Township and Caldwell Township on November 3, 1908. In 1912, voters approved an $8 million bond issue to build a new shopping center and water treatment plant within the limits of town limits - which would eventually include much of today's downtown area including its current library building and city hall complex. That same year saw the opening of WCBU radio station (then branded "The Voice"), which remains one of the most popular stations in West Carrollton today. In 1955, local officials voted to change the name to West Carrollton because it sounded more like Cincinnati than anything else in their area despite protests from nearby Hilliard City that had been established just two miles to the east as part of that city's annexation into Cincinnati decades earlier! In 1982, WCBU became WCVB-TV when KYW dropped its affiliation with CBS after 20 years (!), becoming an independent station under CW ownership until August 2009 when it switched back to CBS affiliated status following Viacom's acquisition thereof (which made WCVB owner Fox Broadcasting Company). In September 2009 WMAL/NBC affiliate announced plans to move from its longtime Channel 10 spot on Center Street across from Lawndale Community High School (now known as Northern Kentucky University) towards west end Wilson Boulevard which would have created separation between WMAL/NBC station transmitter facilities on Elmwood Avenue northwest of US 21 near Forest Hills Cemetery while WCBU's main studios remain on Elmwood Avenue southeast corner Dayton Road just east of I-75 exit ramp; however this plan never materialized due to FCC approval for Combined Media Holdings Inc.'s proposed construction project along I-75 between Dayton Road & Wilson Boulevard allowing only one CW station per market; instead both stations relocated southward onto I-675 outside Covington before finally relocating back onto Elmwood Avenue southeast corner Dayton Road effective January 15th 2020

It also became popular among law enforcement officers because it made carrying a handgun more comfortable for them. The next major manufacturer of handguns was Smith & Wesson. They introduced their own design called the "Smith & Wesson Model 3" in 1907. This holster allowed pistols to be carried without removing them from their frames and became very popular among police officers because it was easy and comfortable to wear. After Smith & Wesson discontinued production of their handguns in 1911, theyintroduced their own design called the "Olympic Arms" which allowed pistols to be carried without removing them from their frames but it wasn't as popular as the Smith & Wesson model 3 due to its lack of comfort and functionality compared to other models at that time. Brownells eventually replaced Smith & Wesson as one of the leading handgun manufacturers after they introduced their own line ofHolsters called "Beretta", which quickly became very successful due its low cost and user-friendly design comparing against other brands at that time. subsequently Brownells merged with Colts organization in 1934 becoming Colt Firearms Corporation (CFC). CFC continued making firearms until 1968 when they were acquired by Beretta Incorporated (Beretta) who continued producing firearms until 1994 when all firearmsproduction ceased except those made under license by CFC Ltd..

West Carrollton City, Ohio is a city in unincorporated Butler County, Ohio, United States. The population was 5,878 at the 2010 census. It is the county seat of Butler County. It was founded by pioneers John and Martha Carrol on November 15, 1827 as West Carrollton Township. The town of West Carrollton merged into the village of Cincinnati on February 14, 1907. On July 17, 1923, Cleveland annexed West Carrollton to form the city of Cleveland.
West Carrollton City was established in 1853 as a town within the present-day township of Carrollton. The first settler in the area, James M. Payne, arrived in 1852 and built the first house on what is now Payne's Corner. In 1857, West Carrollton became a village and was incorporated as such by an act of the Ohio General Assembly on July 1, 1857. The original town site included portions of present-day Highland Township and part of today's Sicklerville Township. In 1870, West Carrollton became one of four villages in Lucas County created from parts of Adams Township and range 6 north. On October 11, 1870, it consolidated with neighboring Pleasant Valley to form what is now West Carrollton City. On February 10, 1935, the city limits were expanded by adding portions of Highland Township to its boundaries. On November 2nd 1951 voters approved annexation by neighboring Ross County which placed West Carrollton directly under county jurisdiction for all land east of US 22 (the current border between Ross County and Butler County). On January 1st 1959 this annexation was finalized when Ross County made all deeds for property located within the city limits legal under its new zoning laws
