On November 15th, 1826, commissioners from both Miami and Washington Counties met at Indianola Chapel and approved an plat for what would become West Carrollton Township with boundaries that stretched along Northwest Third Street from Northwest Second Street east to Northwest Third Street; North Third Street from its junction with Northwest First street north to its intersection with Northwest Fourth street; Southwest Eighth Avenue from its junction with Northeast Tenth avenue south to its intersection with Northeast Ninth avenue; East Tenth avenue from its junction with Southeast Seventh avenue east to its intersection with Southeast Sixth avenue; and South Sixth Avenue from its junction with Southwest Fifth avenue south to his original line of exploration which extended along present day State Road 441 (now US 41) between NW Second Street andNW Third Street. In 1867, due to railroad construction within the county, much of what had been included on the original plat were added as part of the newly created town of Coral Gables - including present day NW Fourth Street - while other areas were annexed by West Carrollton as part of that same year’s growth including portions of SW Fourth Avenue and NE Tenth Avenue into today’s southwest corner of NW FourthStreet/NE TenthAvenue In 1916 the first post office opened in what became known as “West Carrollton” after General Edward westward march who fought during America's Revolution On December 12th 1916 mail arrived at PO Box 90903518 even though PO Box 90903518 had no address indicating it was inside or outside of town limits In 1928 WFC merged into Coral Gables through annexation but kept their name until 1970 when they changed it back

Early cannons were also fired byoid fuels such as charcoal or hardwood logs soaked in oil or wine vinegar (Fletcher 1745). By 1275 AD cannon had become operational within European armies (Fletcher 1745). During World War I, ammunition became an increasingly important factor in war due to advancements in technology and artillery. Ammunition became available at a much lower cost than raw materials used for earlier firearm designs- this allowed combatants to wage war with greater effectiveness thanks to expanded battlefields and larger numbers of munitions. The development of airpower also made artillery more effective against targets at a distance- allowing ground forces to engage enemy troops directly rather than using siege weaponry (Basile 2005). West Carrollton City is a city in and the county seat of Carroll County, Ohio, United States. The population was 7,814 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Dayton–Middletown–Dayville Combined Statistical Area. The city was founded on October 24, 1807 by John West and his wife Sarah Ann. The original site for West Carrollton was a grant from President George Washington to Major General James Wilkinson. In 1812, when Wilkinson became brigadier general in the U.S. Army, he donated land to make up for lost Creek land grants that had been forfeited by Indians during the Northwest Indian War (1812-1813). In November 1830, Treasurer William Bancroft organized a town meeting to select a site for westward expansion of Carroll County. That December 9th meeting decided on West Carrollton as the new county seat after vote by all members present including one who abstained because he lacked residence in that section of the county at that time. The first courthouse was built between 1830 and 1834 on what is now Second Street east of High Street in downtown West Carrollton. The town's growth continued with settlers arriving from central Ohio via stagecoaches until railroads arrived in 1870 and made traveling to various parts of Ohio much easier than it had ever been before – something which contributed significantly to its rapid growth thereafter! In 1886, voters passed an ordinance establishing school district No. 2 within boundaries acquired by neighboring Scioto Township through annexation; this helped contribute greatly to future educational opportunities for residents of both cities! It wasn’t until 1907 when voters approved incorporation as a city thanks largely to efforts spearheaded by Mayor Fenton Willard! Incorporated as “West Carrollton” on January 1st 1907 under slightly different charter language – still reflecting its early roots as an agricultural community featuring many farmssteads along North High Street – today’s downtown area has seen significant redevelopment over several decades culminating in its current status as one of Dayton’s most vibrant neighborhoods!
