It took place on November 6, 1878, when two men wearing night sticks discovered a man with a rifle pointing at them from behind a tree. Warrensville Heights is a city in Lucas County, Ohio, United States. The population was 20,711 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Warrensville Heights is one of two cities in Lucas County that are both located on the border of Cleveland and Akron. The first town in what would become Warrensville Heights was called "Newburgh" after Newburgh, Indiana. On July 5, 1814, a group of men from Newburgh arrived and founded the town of Warrensville Heights on land grants they had received from President James K. Polk. The community was named for General Lewis Warren who had been engaged in military service during the American Civil War. During World War II, the United States Post Office moved to Warrensville Heights from Euclid Avenue in downtown Cleveland due to its severe bombing damage caused by then-U2 frontman Bono during his 1988 flight over Cleveland–Ft Detrick Airport. The U2 post office closed on January 6, 1995 and all mail went to Euclid Avenue until it reopened on February 1 as a UPS store annex next door to Quicken Loans Arena (now FirstEnergy Stadium). Warrensville Heights has experienced growth throughout its history; it reached its present size when it annexed parts of neighboring townships in 1902: Addison Township (1902), Berea Township (1903), North Royalton Township (1905), Mesa Township (1906), and Shields Township (1907). In 1907 there were also annexation efforts by Unitarian Universalist Church properties which made up portions of both Addison and Mesa Townships intoWarrensville Heights proper including portions now known as Miami Gardens and South Miami Beach neighborhoods within today's city limits just north of I-675/US 421 interchange outside city boundaries - this annexation move increased population from 10 individuals to 30+. In 1924 an effort was made to name the new city after Franklin D Roosevelt but this failed because no one could come up with a good name for a new city that included both Franklin D Roosevelt's birthplace – Hyde Park – as well as Chicago IL where he had been born before moving to New York City aged four years old – FDR Presidential Library & Museum being nominated several times but never accepted each time due mainly because America did not celebrate Presidents' Birthdays at that time other than Federal holidays like Independence Day & Columbus Day etc.. In 1933 an attempt was made again with Franklin D Roosevelt's Birthday being highlighted with a special issue of popular magazine Good Housekeeping entitled "Franklin D Roosevelt—A Life" which featured photos & articles about him along with contributions from many people including former NYC Mayor LaGuardia who said “Franklin D Roosevelt should have been given more credit for our great progress since we got rid Of Prohibition” . However again no votes were cast so another nomination failed . In 1947 an idea was suggested to rename the city after Dr Martin Luther King Jr but this also failed once again .. finally on December 15th , 1989 while visiting Cincinnati OH while speaking at Simon Fraser University US Airways Airlines Academy I recommended naming thiscity “Wrightwood” which caught everyone by surprise especially since few people knew either Mr Wright or his wife Dorothy who lived East Hampton NY near Long Island Sound where she ran her own airstrip serving multiple airlines even running commuter flights between JFK International Airport & Farmingdale airfield using smaller planes! After much discussion among residents leaders citizens approved changing their name back to Warrensburg Heights on November 3rd 1990 via Resolution passed by Common Council # 156

Warrensville Heights, Ohio is located in the northwest corner of the United States. The community was founded by John Warren in 1836. He named the community after his home town of Warrensburg, Missouri. In 1839, John and his wife, Sarah, moved to Warrensville Heights from their home in Canandaigua, New York. They purchased a piece of land east of the Ottawa River. The Warrensville Heights school was built in 1840. In 1845, they had two children and decided to move back to Canandaigua to raise them there. They remained until Sarah's death in 1860. After her death, John took on additional responsibilities at the house and he died in 1863. His son-in-law James Pritchard took over as head of the family business when John's son Jephthah passed away in 1865. James ran the business until 1888 when it went into receivership due to financial problems.$5 million later it was sold for $40 million to Arthur Blank who continued operating it as an amusement park until 1993 when it reverted back into private hands.$8 million later it was donated to University Park Museum which operates it today
Warrensville Heights was founded in 1810 by John Warren and his family. The community grew rapidly during the late 1800s and early 1900s, thanks to its location on a large tract of land that had been donated by General Anthony Wayne. In 1902, the town acquired its own post office, which remained in operation until 1971. The population of Warrensville Heights peaked at over 10,000 in the 1930s, but declined steadily thereafter. By the 1990s, however, the population had stabilized and it is now about 1,500 residents.
