Warrensville Heights is a town in Stark County, Ohio, United States. The population was 8,821 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Cleveland-Akron-Canton, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The first settler in Warrensville Heights was John Neely who came to the area in 1827. In 1830, he married Anna Snively and they started a family consisting of six children. Anna died in 1853 and John moved to Cincinnati with his six children. In 1861 John own a farm which he laid out into streets and named after himself and his wife Anna: "John Nash's Valley." He also founded the Warrensville Township post office in 1865. In 1870 George Wirtz settled in Warrensville Heights on land that he had purchased from John Nash Sr.. George ran a grocery store for many years until it was destroyed by fire in 1906. In 1916 Hargrave Gentry bought the grocery store from George Wirtz and continued running it until it closed its doors for good in 1978. In 1928 James Jakes opened his first restaurant called "The Blue Boar". This restaurant served lunchtime until 3 p.m., then closed because of financial difficulties that followed World War II; however, James reopened it later that year under new management as "James Jakes' Italian American Cafe". The restaurant continued serving food until 1984 when it closed again due to lack of business opportunities; however, James reopened it eventually as an Italian steakhouse known as "Jakes' Steakhouse" which still serves food today. It should be noted that some other early businesses were a bakery (1899), shoe store (1907), druggist (1910), post office (1920), laundry (1924) and dry goods store (1929). However, most notable among these early businesses are James Jakes' Italian American Cafe and The Blue Boar which remain open to this day despite multiple closures over the years!

Warrensville Heights is a census-designated place in the Hamilton County, Ohio, United States. The population was 11,836 at the 2010 census. The Warrensville Heights ZIP Code is 43118. It was settled in 1814 by General Anthony Wayne and his brigade of Ulysses S. Grant's army during the American Civil War, and became part of the new United States after the war. The village was named for John Randolph, 2nd Viscount Randolph of Richmond (1784–1849), an Irish nobleman who had helped finance George Washington's successful assault on Yorktown in 1781 and later served as U.S. minister to Spain and Mexico City. In 1814, General Anthony Wayne founded a small post at what is now Warrensville Heights to store foodstuffs he had brought over from Europe with his army during the war. He named it for his friend John Randolph because "he would not allow any man within three miles of him who did not hold property." The post grew rapidly; by 1830 there were sixty residents living there on a single block of land measuring only eight feet wide by twelve feet deep. By 1840 it included five blocks totaling one mile square; by 1850 it had grown to nine blocks measuring one half mile square and containing over two thousand residents—roughly twice the size of today's community. The first town meeting held in Warrensville Heights occurred on March 10, 1851, when eighty-four residents voted to form a town government under a board consisting of seven members appointed by Governor Edward Prentice Chase appointees who were also members of the local militia company that patrolled the streets nearthe post office and social clubs located near public school district boundaries). On April 15th, 1851, voters elected trustees to manage all aspects of town life including budgeting and financial planning as well as regulating commerce while still maintaining religious orthodoxy (a practice which persisted into modern times). Two years later on November 3rd 1853 another meeting resulted in passage of ordinances establishing streetlights along Prospect Avenue between Delaware Avenue and Elm Street; providing sewer service; authorizing building permits; setting fines for violations such as disconnecting water mains or fires hazardously close to dwellings; established regulations governing hours necessary for prostitution services (relying primarily upon brothel keepers rather than prostitutes themselves); etc.). These early operations functioned much like our present day city hall although no record exists showing what type or design this structure actually resembled In 1862 Union General Ambrose Burnside destroyed most all but two buildings within three blocks of downtown Cincinnati after seizing control from Confederate General Robert Ewell During that same year Warrensville Heights Joined with neighboring Perrysburg Township forming Perrysburg Township High School District No 1 On July 8th 1865 Confederate soldiers burned down most everything inside three blocks southbound on Prospect Avenue between Elm Street & Delaware Avenue during their attempt to retake Cincinnati following defeat at Battle Of Gettysburg In 1870 Johnston County was created from parts of Hamilton County including Perrysburg Township &Warrensville Heights With demographics changing around this time many people left Warrensville Heights looking for greener pastures elsewhere so incorporation didn't take place until 1888 when Community Improvement District number 1 formed which still operates today
