Warrensville Heights is a small town in the U.S. state of Ohio located about 25 miles northwest of Cleveland on I-77. The population was 2,815 at the 2010 census. Warrensville Heights is one of three communities in Warren County (the other two are Bethel and Parma) that are home to the Warrensville Rifle and Gun Club, which is one of the oldest rifle clubs in the United States. The club's history dates back to 1876 when it was established as a rifle range by Colonel George Waddell. In 1898, the club moved from its original location on Elmwood Avenue to what is now their current building on Ashland Road. The Warrensville Heights Rifle and Gun Club has been hosting NRA annual meetings since 1951, and has also hosted national matches twice (in 1966 and 1984). The club has also constructed several ranges within their boundaries, including an 8-gun range on Elmwood Avenue; a 10-gauge range on Ashland Road; a 12-gauge range off Medina Drive; and an 18-gauge range near Clairmont Drive. Additionally, they have built several shotguns ranges such as an 8-shot shotgun range off Clairmont Drive; a 20 gauge shotgun range off Westfield Boulevard; and a .22LR gunrange off Delaware Street. In addition to their shooting activities, the club hosts numerous traditional events throughout the year including golf tournaments, duck hunting seasons, acoustic concerts, etc., all while maintaining close relationships with local schools and businesses.

After World War II ended, many more people moved into this small town due to its growing reputation as a suburb of Washington D.C.. After years of growth and development, the community experienced rapid gentrification in the early 21st century with an influx of wealthier residents seeking access to quality schools, shopping malls, and other amenities closer to downtown D.C.. However, recent studies have shown that some aspects of this gentrification may be negatively impacting Warrensville Heights' demographics and economy while also increasing crime rates among its residents
